Forums - Website Topics - (new) Mods don't issue warnings anymore?

I just come back from a 3 day ban for flaming, the last time I was banned for flaming was more than 6 months ago, after that ban I decided to change my attitude, I was doing my best not to insult anyone again, it worked,  I was good, I was courteous, and  mods were appreciative of my good behaviour, there were instances I was at the borderline, but these are part of the process of changing. I put a lot of effort into becoming a good member. This all ended last week when one of the new mods(amp) decided to ban me for 3 days, rather than the usual procedure of handing out warnings. Interestingly, my last ban regarding flaming(back in august) was also from the same guy.

Have the rules changed or what? No more warnings? Has amp, unlike his veteran colleagues not realized the change in my attitude and decided to treat me like yesteryears Turkish?

There is only one type of Turkish. Who are you trying to fool?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I don't know, i'd still consider you as borderline troll to be honest. A lot of things you do is on the borderline so I'd say mods keep a close eye on you plus even if it was 6 months ago you still know the rules by now and should obide by them by this point.

P.S.  Your sig is kind of disturbing to me.  Does anybody else feel this way?  Those veins ack :(

Well I got banned for saying "MS wasn't trying" after Sony sent me 10$. Felt that should've been a warning, and not a three day.

Huh...lotta threads and complaints about moderation from one moderator in particular. Curious...

6 Months isnt a long time, and yes, mods still do issue warnings.

He didn't give me a warning either for posting a gif. Something that wasn't even in the rules and no warning.

Something similar happened to me a few weeks ago.  I got banned for bumping my thread.  No warning or anything.  I talked to the moderator afterwards and showed him that it was not in the rules so he kind of apologized for it afterwards although I never truly heard that word sorry -_-  He marked it as spam though, although i see threads being bumped a lot.  i do it once and banned lol

Warnings aren't about less severe offences. You shouldn't expect to be "allowed one". Warnings should be if you didn't realise your behaviour was negative and you can be made aware of this. But someone like you already knows what is and isn't acceptable posting.

6 month is a long ass time. I got this message from Kantor after asking when warnings get reset:

"It doesn't really work like that. It will "reset" as such after six months, only in that if you troll again in less than six months, it's more likely to result in a ban. It's a case-by-case thing."

I did not troll in the past months. Mods judge on what happened months ago and I have been clean for atleast 6 months.
