I Hate These Ads!!!

Can somebody please help me. This website has always had ads at the top and sides of each page but they never bothered me. Out of nowhere, a few days ago, these random pop-up ads appeared. They come up every single time I enter a new thread or page.

One of the ads is advertising Panera bread while the other advertises a discovery card. They are both ads that I have to click out of in order to continue and I can't click out until the ads have been running for about 5 seconds or so.

It has gotten to the point where I'm now considering leaving the site. "Basil Zero" recommended me get an anti-virus thing but that's not the problem. I'm on a tablet and it works perfectly fine. These ads haven't appeared on any site besides for this one. I also have ad-block on and as I said it doesn't happen on any other site so it must have something to do with this one.

Any suggestions? Any admins or mods know how to fix this? Is this happening to anyone else?

Thanks for the help!

*Update: I decided to download a new web browser called "Atomic Web" for $1. I didn't trust the "Adblock" browser because it had very limited amount of reviews and when I tried the free version, it said something like "this account has been deleated because of payment issues" Whatever that's supposed to mean. This new browser includes customizable features, and tons of Adblock support. Plus, the reviews were great. It has a better feel than "safari" but is slightly slower because Apple doesn't allow 3rd party browsers to feature "Nitro" or any other thing to make the browser run faster. Anyway, I've been using it for about 10 minutes on here without a single ad. Hope this is an official fix!

Download Spybot Search and Destroy, it eliminates Spyware and Malware that could be the source of your pop ups. you could also download an ad blocker on either Chrome or Firefox (I'm not sure what other browsers have add ons) which might help prevent these from showing up when they try, but they will also block other ads.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

put in add block, i installed it and not only are the annoying adds gone, but the site actually runs faster i made a thread about this too, ill look it up and give you the link, people recommended add blocks in it

ADblock is the answer.

here, check the thread, people recommended different add blocks for different browsers

This and/or Malware bytes Anti-malware or Microsoft Security Essentials.

@OP - More than likely you are infected with malware or adware cause you shouldnt be getting any Pop Ups, just the normal Ads on the site itself.

Do you get these ads anywhere else?

I swear most people don't read the OP most of the time, HA!

to answer your question, no. These ads don't happen on any other site. Not even one. Only this one. That is why I think its the site and not my tablet. Is it possible to download anti-virus stuff on your tablet? I don't think it is.

Adblock plus (Chrome or Firefox)...end of discussion.

Honestly anyone without Adblock I feel sorry for. Especially kids who use youtube and complain about the ads on that site.

I have been getting them on my iPad, however for now they appear to have stopped.
