Why not? Its the same game. But it has beaten SMG2 and SMS.

This game will have great legs though. Super Mario 64 DS had, and so will this one. Perhaps because it has many 2D Mario elements, perhaps because Galaxy helped pushing 3D Mario games. Anyway, its legs won't even need to be that great to easily get past 12 million.

If we put together all SM64 releases' sales like you did then yeah, it won't beat that.

15 million is within reach...especially if 3DS sales expand in the west and it gets a Nintendo Selects or Player's Choice discount. Can't be too far off at this point.

I'm expecting sales of 10m-15m in the end... And if the 3DS can do 130-150m I wouldn't be surprised to see 18-20m...

This will do it. It is the first 3D mario with 2D gamestyle (no life bar) and it looks like its legs will be fantastic.

Superchunk - Including virtual console is fine, but 64DS was a completley different game, more stars, different playable characters etc not fair to include that as well.
