Forums - Nintendo - Splinter Cell Blacklist: Developer Profiles Confirm Development of Wii U Version

Good news Splinter Cell Blacklist is coming to the WiiU aswell!

While previously rumoured to be coming to Wii U via an Amazon online listing (and we know how reliable those are…oh wait), there hasn’t been much hard evidence of Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist arriving on any platform aside from the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

However, new information since posted on the LinkedIn profiles of level designer Pascal Allancon and game tester Robin Dhar both talk about work being done on a Wii U version of Blacklist. While the information is no longer there, a few screenshots were taken by Joystiq and GoNintendo showing the same..

Splinter Cell: Blacklist is the latest game in Ubisoft’s stealth action series and sees the return of Sam Fisher as takes on a new terrorist threat called The Blacklist. Developed by Ubisoft Toronto, the game will be releasing on August 20th 2013 after having been delayed from its initial Spring release.

We can’t really say how many Wii U gamers would appreciate Splinter Cell on their console, but hey, the more consoles the merrier.

Now Nintendo fans can stop hating Ubisoft :P least they are supporting the WiiU more than other devs!

More 3rd party support..i could get used to this, thanks for the info think-man.

Between Splinter Cell, Watch_Dogs, Assassin's Creed, and Rayman Legends, does Ubisoft have any major games scheduled for the second half of 2013 that aren't coming to Wii U?

Geez, I hope this pattern continues for the rest of 8th gen. Ubisoft is a huge publisher, and getting bigger every year. This level of support from them is fantastic, an entirely different world from what the Wii got.

Multiplats ahoy!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Yeah they are really good at supporting consoles (even the vita!) and people were talking about boycotting them over the rayman legends thing, that would be a huge mistake since they seem to be the biggest third party supporting the WiiU.

How about you all just wait until those games are actually out on the system before celebrating or giving praise to them...

People are already freaking out over Assassin's Creed IV. I see no reason to make an exception for the Wii U version. Why can't we join in on the reindeer games?

is Splintercell any good? I don't think I have ever played any game....

Switch!!!
