Eh, never cared for the franchise. Now that they do yearly releases, I am even more put off than before. but hey, if CoD can do it, why not AC?

As someone who played all three of the main numbered titles, I seriously don't fecking care for this game or the franchise anymore.
They went from overwhelming designs in the first two, to a simple setting in the third. It was just an awkward transition.

I think I'll pass this time, and I own all AC games. Pity, but AC3 sucked really hard.
No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.
no, im still playing AC3 and Liberation. I dont like the pirate setting, and i dont see them improving the multi(which i love) all that much
No. Not really interested. Haven't bothered to look up anything about it. I'll wait for the reviews. If i see a bunch of 5's and 6's, that means I'll like the game. And maybe, I just might buy a copy.

This would be THE only reason I would ever get AC.
Or China during the Genghis Khan/Three Kingdoms time.

I care, although I have yet to play Assasin's Creed 3, but I did enjoy Brotherhood, and Revelations a lot, and Assassin's Creed 2 was a fantastic game.

Yeah me being Italian and all is the only reason why I bothered with the game (Played it in Italian too). I'll say I did like running around the renaissance period. I still haven't played the other two games. Got Brotherhood for free with my video card, I just can't be arsed to install it. |
but they chose italy out of an artistic and game creative choice, it was just perfect for the AC game's. but the american setting was out of pure marketing, heck the trailer shows it all, americans fighting for freedom, an eagle and an american flag add to that a super solider who takes on an entire amry by himself. if that wont get the USA mass market to buy the game what else will?

CoD is focus on multiplayer, this ones focus on single player. also this one is a story driven game, and trust me the story is getting boring

the transition goes much deeper than just the setting, they want to change the genre as a whole. they were from an stealth open world type of game. to a cenimatic action open world game. the tranistion is very clear in the trailers.
AC1- very stealthy, focuses on getting the kill and running away then blending in
AC2- Stealth as well, you are blending in then you chase your target using your assassins climbing and running skills, you make the kill using your new weapon
AC:B- barely any stealth what so ever, you are very confrontational and you attack your target head on, however it does show how assassins brotherhood did increase in power and technique
AC : R - no stealth at all- you go up and fight about 30 people before running away by jumping about 100 meters and nothing happening to you
AC3- eagle, war, american flag and you go on and take an amry by yourself.
the transisiton is very clear just from the trailers
