the transition goes much deeper than just the setting, they want to change the genre as a whole. they were from an stealth open world type of game. to a cenimatic action open world game. the tranistion is very clear in the trailers.
AC1- very stealthy, focuses on getting the kill and running away then blending in
AC2- Stealth as well, you are blending in then you chase your target using your assassins climbing and running skills, you make the kill using your new weapon
AC:B- barely any stealth what so ever, you are very confrontational and you attack your target head on, however it does show how assassins brotherhood did increase in power and technique
AC : R - no stealth at all- you go up and fight about 30 people before running away by jumping about 100 meters and nothing happening to you
AC3- eagle, war, american flag and you go on and take an amry by yourself.
the transisiton is very clear just from the trailers
