I have a better question, why aren't they milking the American Revolution the same way they milked Italy? Was Assassin's Creed 3 that poorly received?

because the AC revolution is probably the worst setting for an AC game, honestly the worst setting in all of the games. they milked italy because there was so much to explore, in america there isnt, it was just an obvious marketing technique to market the games to americans

Yeah me being Italian and all is the only reason why I bothered with the game (Played it in Italian too).  I'll say I did like running around the renaissance period.  I still haven't played the other two games.  Got Brotherhood for free with my video card, I just can't be arsed to install it.

but they chose italy out of an artistic and game creative choice, it was just perfect for the AC game's. but the american setting was out of pure marketing, heck the trailer shows it all, americans fighting for freedom, an eagle and an american flag add to that a super solider who takes on an entire amry by himself. if that wont get the USA mass market to buy the game what else will?
