Who cares? You're comparing two horribly shallow games. As the saying goes, "It's Like The Special Olympics, You Can Win But You're Still Retarded.". Now lets compare some real games eg. GT series Vs Mario karts? Team Ico Vs Zelda? Metroid Vs Killzone? DMC series Vs ???? Every mulitplatform-game-this-gen vs all-those-games-that-didn't-platform-over etc etc etc etc etc..........

I rest my case.

Oh my word, this solidifies your idiocy my friend. Metroid is one of the most beloved gaming franchises of all time that caters to the gaming crowd. It has 2-3 games that are easily in the top 20 video games of all time. Killzone is just another shooter. I was going to ignore your moronic rant, but this is pure ridiculousness.

Because....?

You can't just say it like it's a fact, but you have to reason why. Many games have been succesful for all the wrong reasons, and I would say that Metroid is one of them. It was good - 20 years ago. It is now dated, shallow, and very poor (in my opinion of course, due to poor gameplay, weak asthetics, no immersion, no storyline etc)...but here you are defending it. Why? And please, no intrinsic retort in your response.

If you're talking about Metroid Prime, metroid was always more about ambiance than storyline, but even with that, Metroid Prime brought in Chozo Lore. I suspect you never played Metroid Prime.

He's right that comparison of Metroid vs Killzone was pretty bad.

Yeah..... I'm currently really pissed at the rumor that The Last Guardian might not come out on PS3 at all....... I have to honestly say that I haven't really like Team ICO's games that much though, I was hoping this would change my opinion about them but the Newegg link still has not even a box art...... Also didn't they already hand the code to Santa Monica last year?

http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/21/sony-santa-monica-helping-with-the-last-guardian/

I believe they're helping on it, but the game is still being made by Fumito Ueda (on contract) and team Ico.

cool cool, hope it comes out on PS3, since I'm not buying PS4 on day 1 and I've had that pre-order for forever.

The guy whose entire post is a list, followed by "I rest my case," may not be in the best position to submit this argument.

Nintendo make beautiful games. So magical.

Yeah and I'll bet you nobody would give a damn about it if it was running PSX graphics, sad reality of today's gamers when it comes to anything shooting. :P

As far as I remember the PSX had FFVIII (Gunblade! ;o), MGS, 3 MMX games, a few Resis, all with depth as well as gameplay :) Gamers were okay with them. Of course games like that benefit from technological advancements to better present the characters, worlds, environments, but that's with any genre that attempts to captivate in an imaginary world with visuals and story.

I hated FF8(draw was the biggest piece of shit design ever, story was also corny as fuck), I still think MGS is the best MGS game though, Megaman also hasn't been that good since the PSX days TBH, the best ones are still on the original Nintendo since 2D platformers depend much less on graphics. Tells you that we really haven't come that far though, it's pretty sad. I still have The Last of Us and Beyond 2 Souls to look forward to though!

THANK YOU!  FF8 is such garbage...it was the beginning of everything that is wrong with FF games.  The character design was stupid, the story made no sense, and the game was more about cut scenes then gameplay!

while you saying "alright! game is on!" does clearly indicate your intention to start a war or an arguement about sony and nintendo, you neglected one thing, that my entire post was about games i am interesteding in, something i did bold for you to see in my first post. now you did open an arguement with me about games i am interested in and the games that interest me from both nintendo and sony in the genre's i am interested. every game you mentioned i dont give two shits about, and with all honestly cant even come close to the quality of games like uncharted, god of war, or infamous.

i intentionally made my first post about the games i am personally interested in to fend off users like you, who for some reason, just want to start shit, but there you go, you lost your arguement. your ignorant, nieve and immature way of trying to start shit has made you flat out lose this argument, congratulations.

Woah. Maybe you should calm down because he was just showing you how ignorant you could've been. He didn't want to start a war (I hope) he wanted to tell you the games that you could've liked, the games that Nintendo does have that you could be interested in. Not a war. Just something to show you that you might not have known.

The gameplay was fine, it was an ff game just like any other, did you even finish it? The junction system was not complex at all if that was your gripe. A bit tedious to draw magic but it's an FF game, it _can_ be tedious at times.

FF8 had just about as much cinematic as FFIX did. Do you consider it garbage too?

Also, the only reason why I mentioned FFVIII is because he mentioned shooters and it was mostly a joke. So your thank you is a bit odd.

Well at least 9 was good, 7 was really good until they farmed that shit into the burning pile of manure.

Completly agree with this.  10 was actually ok, but it was way to easy to god mode your characters and it was WAY to cinematic heavy.  I remember getting the game, playing for 45 minutes, and realizing that I hadn't actually done anything.
