Depending on when the UK gets the PS4, I may wait for that version. The yearly releases are starting to take their toll.

I'm not a fan of the naval battles, so I hope there will be plenty of big and exotic port towns that you can explore and do stuff in.

I still think that Victorian Age London or Feudal Japan are better settings tho...

Can't wait, I loved the hell out of AC3, I thought Ubisoft did an amazing job on it so buying black flag is a no brainer. That 1 hour of exclusive content is also awesome again, boy does Ubisoft spoil the playstation nation.

It could be many things, for starters the consoles will have 0 user base, second the owners of that consoles are expecting a big graphic leap that will most likely represent a lot of work for Ubisoft to achieve, third one is that the game development started a year ago when the consoles were still rumors and usually dev kits are hard to get in quantity and are expensive to get games ready for launch.

It is still possible that they change their minds if they feel that the gamer will not mind a small graphical update instead of a big one, they can get more dev kits in the next months and/or the porting itself is very cheap. So don't lose hope but be ready for the worst.

Agreed. They had previously givent the impression that ACIII would be the last instalment for a couple of years, and I suppose I shouldn't judge it until more is shown, but this setting seems a bit underwhelming. I had thought the next game may have been with a close relative of Connor's, but maybe in the American Civil War given the final cutscene in ACIII where Connor looks on with disguist at a slave being whipped.

At this point, feeling I'll wait for a price drop rather than pick it up day one like the last 4 games.

(At least) 2 of the 3 reasons you list were also true for WiiU and it got a version of AC3.

They will also launch it for them.
