Theatrhythm and Luigi's Mansion should get moved into the 'must have' column. Theatrhythm is one of the best games ever mate!

Also the XL is absolutely worth it. I have both and I prefer the XL so much more. The standard is a joke in comparison. My girlfriend wasn't a huge fan of the 3DS until I got the XL. Now she loves it more than anything. She also reckons the 3D effect is much more enjoyable on the XL.

Fire Emblem is more of a strategy game than a rpg game.

I was decided to try to explain to you how the gameplay is, but i believe its better for you to try the demo after you get the 3DS.

I dont know if you know, but the 3DS eshop has a lot of demos and right now from your "interesting list" there are demos for Castlevania, Monster Hunter, Fire Emblem and TheatRhythm FF. And from your "research list" there is a demo for Etrian Odyssey too.

So my advices for you are, get a 3DS XL and try the demos for the games you are not sure, if you like them get them.

So it took you no games to buy a PS Vita, but it takes you at least 10 games to buy a 3DS?

Well, anyway: The 3DS has plenty of good-great 3DS games now. On top of that, you have full access to the original DS's library of games. So you've got a lot to choose from. There's a lot of good eShop titles as well: Virtual Console, 3DS download titles (Pushmo is one example) and even DSiWare games.

Talking about eShop games, outside of those games already mentioned, I would personally recommend X-Scape, Starship Defense, Aura-Aura Climber, Dark Void Zero and Soul of Darkness for DSiWare. For 3DS downloads, Crimson Shroud, Dillon's Rolling Western, Liberation Maiden and Fluidity Spin Cycle.

Tales of the abyss if u didnt play the ps2 version or are feeling nostalgic.
