“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? The attitude of being curious and inquisitive is one that requires desire and effort to resist the apathetic attitude of life. It is very similar to lazy vs proactive.

In the end, who gets more done, the lazy or the proactive? So it is with answers.

i.e. curiosity is a choice and is affected by influence (who you are surrounded with e.g. others who have or have not made that choice).

yep that's how we all started out. until you don't give a shit, and i stopped giving a shit a long time ago. i'll be dead before there's any significant changes in the world.

i want to be brought back as borg. resistance is futile

I never stopped asking questions or looking for answers.
