Nope, but if the beta was coming within the month the codes will probably be sent out.  I wish I had the code though just so I know everything worked out from when I preordered on Amazon.

i just called eb games and they said ill get my code when i pick up watchdogs

That's weird.  I got a code from amazon that I redeemed on Destiny website to secure my spot in the beta.  I just checked and it says a platform chooser and code generator will be available in 2014.   At least I know everything is still fine for me.

Hmm fuck ill get pissed off if they screw me..  I order alot of games from there..

I have a Seagate Momentus XT 500GB on my PS3... SSHD (hybrid)... I never had any issue (in GT5/6 the load times are close to 50% faster).

What HDD are you using? And is it working well?

I don't know, got it from a local game store, and it's working fine.  Perfect, even.  I had a conversation with the Sony tech support to make sure it'd work.

Also, I have another question regarding an issue I'm having with being able to sync my trophies on PS4.  It's giving me an error code and when I searched for it, it told me my HDD might be ifffy, which I kow is wrong because my PS4 still has its factory HDD.

This happen to anyone else?

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Driveclub must have been either way behind schedule or looked absolute crap for there to still be no release date 5 months after it was set to launch. Hope it turns out well, but I would worry for Evolution going forward after Sony's cuts elsewhere

I don't think it had anything to do with the visuals. From what I heard, the social functions needed a lot of work and the multiplayer they had wasn't clicking. If I had to guess, between the confirmation of The Last of Us being ported, update 1.7 getting a lot of attention, Watch Dogs getting hyped this week, and Destiny getting hyped next week... Sony probably wants to make sure Driveclub has its own time for attention. It's what I would do. Wouldn't surprise me if by late next week or early the week after we finally get something on Driveclub. There is the possibility that Sony might just wait until E3 though.

When I said 'looked like crap' I wasn't talking about visually I meant crap as a whole package.  I'm assuming there are now going to release it in the summer, which will either be great for it due to lack of competition or it will be forgotten about.

I would expect the code you get at EB would be the same as the one I got on amazon.  Unless it's an actual beta code which would be weird I think.

Yes I played it at least

Was it okay?  Or dreadful?

It was ok I guess as something to pass the time, but it's way below the best kart games.  I found the courses were a bit dull and some had terrible waypointing making it confusing to know where you were going, and the karts themsleves sound atrocious, although that might be the Vita's fault.

But like I said, if you just need something to pass the time you could do worse.  I didn't touch any of the creation and track making tools so if you like that kind of thing you might get some joy there

Don't want to make you panic,  but a friend of mine bought PS4 at launch, and the HDD failed in about 15 days. I don't remember the exact symptoms, but it also had a lot of small issues with saves and loading games...

ehh tbh they should close evolution down. Money is quite obviously scarce in SCE these days, I imagine some of the employees quitting recently might have something to do with it.

And racing games aren't very big these days, of course they are a sure bet, there will always be a quite big niche that will buy racing games so we have GT, Forza, NFS, all the rest aren't seeing numbers close to those 3.

So Sony in financial trouble, having 2 dedicated racing studios is overkill. I mean if they could manage them well enough so the studios would keep on to schedules and deadlines, I could see it healthily working out, as in GT every 3 years and Evolution's racing games in between them, so those games do not collide. But we already seen that it didn't work like that at all, with DriveClub and GT originally being planned a month between each other, obviously cannibalising each' sales. We know that Polyphony likes to take their sweet time when developing GT's, and noone knows how long development time will another have.

Ultimately, even though a bit unpredictable, PD is a way more valuable asset than Evolution is, even with 2 teams, so it would be the one to close. Maybe Sony would manage to expand Polyphony a bit, so they can keep on the deadlines.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

As with all electronics, a certain number will ship defective.  It happens (I've seen RAM, GPU's, CPU's, Motherboards, HDD's, optical drives etc... arrive either defective or non-functional...not all happened to me obviously, that'd be horrendous luck lol, but over the years family/friends have experienced it).

@Runa - I'd backup all data you can, just in case your drive fails.

That was pretty much my thinking. It would be sad to see those guys lose their jobs, maybe they could move them around and find a place for some but I would expect at the very least some cuts.  I think Sony need to give Polyphony a kick up the ass as well, Gran Turismo is good but not good enough to justify the production time of the last two entries.

The fact that Sony have two driving studios making reasonably similar games makes it all the stranger they closed Studio Liverpool.  Wipeout wasn't a massive game but it was different at least
