Don't know whether to go for it. :-/

Go for it..

I'm over halfway through on an emulator and it's starting to get a little repetitive.

Also, I'm disappointed no one commented on that thing I posted!

There's like at least 25 Sony teams according to me, and a few of them have a lot wiggle room and so it's super easy to see how Sony would have 30 PS4 games in development.

It's good to have a lot of teams and studios but it's better to have a lot of games.

I think I'll make a thread about the promise from Yoshida, about what? 15 games from 1st party developers this year? Anyway I try, stretching and spinning, the numbers just don't add up.

This year looks worse than PS3s 2007 in terms of exclusives and that was a console with "no games" until 2008 and MGS IV.

Wat. I don't agree.

inFamous, DriveClub, The Order and Uncharted? Far better than 2007, which only had Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword and Uncharted 1 I believe. This isn't even counting all the semi-exclusives and a far better 3rd party support early on.

Dat. You don't have to, quantity speaks for itself, quality up in the air.

DriveClub was supposed to be 2013 release, so hardly a big victory for 2014 line up but sure. Uncharted yet to be confirmed for 2014. Of course there is way better smaller games line up, since PS Store and digital was still in diapers in 2007. And I'm not talking about third party games cause it's not really up to Sony what their output is.

As for PS3 2007 (the bigger games): Uncharted, Motorstorm, Ratchet & Clank ToD, Warhawk, Lair, Folklore, Heavenly Sword, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

The Santa Monica lay-off stuf seens like whatever project they were working on was broken/teriible and they decided it was better to slay the beast in its infancy instead of releasing crap to the public and have a much worse situation in theyre hands. With the cancelation they obviously had to fire the ppl who were working on the failled project cause they cost the company a cra load of money and didnt deliver.

If whatever they were working on was turning out great they would have fired diferent ppl or not fired at all and kept the project going.

So the only source for a game at SSM being cancelled is from IGN's "reliable sources." Because IGN is the most trustworthy news site right now...............NOT!!! IGN is now one of the worst gaming sites around, imo. They spew so much nonsense and fake information about specs and res that no one should trust them.

With that said, a game totally could have been cancelled, but I will not trust anything that comes out of that site until it's officially confirmed. For all we know their small indie team could have been hit with the layoffs and an indie game cancelled. No reason to believe Barlog's game got cancelled when Sony are the one's who got him back to the studio.

its real

a game got cancelled and some senior staffers were laid off, some people who even worked on GoW2.

I doubt it's stigs game.  There was no hints of that game having trouble or even having the possibility of getting cancelled.   It was likely a very new game that only just started production and they decided it wasn't going to work.  They could have even been a small team of 50 that was working on a downloadable game.   I would think if a big game that had been in production a while was cancelled then stig would probably be let go as well.  I guess we'll see if he did, and if he did then I'll be disappointed.  But it's disappointing that people had to lose their jobs though, especially when I'm wanting to work in this industry.

Lookit what IGN just posted! and only a week late http://www.ign.com/videos/2014/02/26/three-minutes-of-the-order-1886-gameplay

I KNOW I JUST READ THAT ON GAF!!!!!  FUUUUUCCCKKKKK YOU SONY!!!  I legitimately am pissed at sony right now.  Though it could have been a quite unique game, but also could not have been fun to play and was going no where in development.  There are always reasons for cancelling a game.  Famousmortimer seems to believe cory barlog is making a God of War game.  Just hope it's amazing and revitalizes the series.   Also the studio is still around 190 people.  Take away maybe 40 for outsourcing with indies and other studios.  And that leaves ~150 for one game?  I highly doubt just one game is being made there.  One is god of war, but they will likely still have a new IP in the works, just not stigs game anymore it seems.
