Pffff. Last of Us doesn't have a better story than Last Light :P

WELL YOU SIR ARE WRONG!!!!!!   :-p

I love last light though.  Was a crazy good game.

C'mon, Nnodley. I'm not denying The Last of Us deserves GOTY award, but story-wise, Last Light was better. Both games provide an emotional journey through mankind's most corrupt, obscure moments. But while The Last of Us moves toward what The Road did, Last Light fleshed-out an awesome sci-fi story about a murderer's redemption through Moscow's underground.

You're just mad you got the bad ending instead of the good one :P

Better than 2033?

Definitively. The devs improved almost in everything regarding 2033. Better AI, better story-telling, better stealth mechanics (They work this time!), heavy-feeling on the gunplay, more exploration and interaction with the enviroment, better score and things as such. The only thing that got worse is that some of that "survival" aspect of 2033 is lost in Last Light given that the game is a bit more easy than its predecessor and that humans are now more dangerous than monsters.

I keep hearing good things about Last Light's story. Can you say why it's so good, without spoiling it? ;o

Let me guess. For starters, Last Light is set upon the bad ending of 2033 (I was surprised it didn't go with the good one). You're spoiled at the beginning of the consequences of your decisions in 2033. After that, the main character lives "happily" in an underground base from where he has been named Ranger (the top of the top), and you're tasked with one last mission: hunting the last Dark One alive. I don't have to say though, that the mission goes wrong and you end up trapped somewhere else, from where the game begins.

The thing about Last Light story is that it develops its characters smoothly. People from 2033 is back here, and they got stronger personality than ever. So, along with your failed mission, you met a new sidekick on which you'll spend most of the first half of the game. I can't develop further from here because that would be a huge spoiler.

The game is set in two halfs. At least, that's how I consider the game. I can't explain to you what separates these two parts, but I can say the game's tone drastically changes during the second. On which you, the silent, main character, start working into the path of redemption. Then you're forced to make choices that don't impact you, but someone's else (can't tell you who). By the time you hit the final chapter, you still haven't redeemed yourself, but you're tasked with an impossible mission; depending on the whole amount of choices that you made during the first and second half of the game, a closure will be provided, with two different endings.

That's as far as I can tell you until I start venturing into spoiler-light zones.

Mine as well, I think my favourite, period.

#Spoiler#the fact that you play as someone who turns out to be the main antagonist has blown my mind *_* even though I was spoiled a bit and knew noone of the main duo dies, it was an emotional rollercoaster and I loved it to death#End of Spoiler#.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

I wouldn't call Joel an antagonist. Joel is the protagonist from beginning to end, excluding the chapter where he is injured and you switch to Ellie. The fact that he went to such extreme to protect her, shows how much of a protagonist he is. You might be implying that he made the "wrong" choice at the end and he turned out to be the villain of the game, but villain =/= antagonist
