Wii U beats PSV.

Yes, the dead horse (PSP) deserved an extra beating.

next gen can't come soon enought.

I'm looking forward to the YoY comparisons. PSV down 91%??? I know it launched in America, but dayum.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

both ps3 and 360 and massively undertracked, its not even funny anymore

I'm really interested in seeing NPD numbers for this month. I hate to be that guy, but I just don't get 3DS sales in North America. I know it's not some kind of blockbuster, but Fire Emblem opened to a very nice 170k, and it's already the bestselling retail game on the NA eShop, even beating New Super Mario Bros. 2. Last year Resident Evil opened to 86k sales, and 3DS got a 17% boost; Kid Icarus opened to 95k and 3DS got an 11% boost; why did it drop 6% the week of Fire Emblem's release? Why is it still under 20k?

I accept the figures, but I don't understand them. I'm hoping we're in for some upward adjustments next month, because this is just bizarre to me.

3DS starting to head down, a lot more quickly than most of the other console drops. It will soon fall into the 100-110k territory, I can't believe that some think it will manage 50 million by 2013's end.

Wii U doing its thing, seems to be fairly stable around the 30-33k mark, Vita likely to pass it for two-three weeks due to price cut.

PS3 and 360 doing okay, seeing as its close to an end for the 7th generation, those numbers aren't bad for death throes.

I wonder what kind of shipments Nintendo will report for Q1 2013, I think its going to be their lowest total shipment overall we have ever seen, even counting mini-Wii's for Europe. I still don't understand what they hell they're thinking, its like they're deliberately trying to sabotage the Wii U's start.

i don't understand it either.  i have my "goalpost chartz" thread and right around last NPD vgchartz drastically adjusted 3DS down post holidays.  by drastically i mean divide by 2 or more from the previously reported january numbers. i don't know what information ioi found apparently he believe 3DS fell of the side of a cliff this january.  looking at the trend i find it hard to believe it was drop so significantly after having a really good holiday (which was adjust up btw).
