Why not create new studios with that money. I wouldn't be happy if that were true. I can accept exclusive DLC but full games is too much.

I was just about to write the same :)

It makes a lot more sense in the long term to invest in first-party software rather than lease some high-profile EA titles for a few months.

They already created 10+ studios

Why can't people just read some news before reply.

Maybe it will help once said studios release any relevent games.

They talking about next-gen first party games

None of any MS studios released next-gen games(even a trailer) because MS still doesn't announce next-gen Xbox

But the point is that Microsoft is got many much more studios than Sony already during generation of XBox 360. But no more first party games on the console even then. In fact, much less AAA games from them than Sony.

*Am I doing it right?

Your petulant comment notwithstanding, I assure you I'm fully away of Microsoft's investment in first-party software. I've posted about it on this very forum.

My point remains perfectly valid. It makes more sense for Microsoft to invest in first-party software rather than rent third-party software from EA. Do you disagree?

They did not have more studios than Sony for this gen, that's why they created many studios for next gen.

It makes more sence for MS to doing both, and they will.

It's even worse you already read the news but still reply something like this.

Yes, they've had more studios than Sony. And they still do. Yet, they pumped way less content than their competitors.

At least, try wikipedia before replying. Or, you know... read some news?

Why does it make it worse? I stated that Microsoft would be better served to invest in first-party software. I did not state that it will NOT invest in first-party software. I fail to see the problem.

ms doesn't have a strong enough lineup . i made a thread about this a while ago about this.

Microsoft, could you please stop this fucking timed-exclusive deal? As a Xbox fan, I want to see the real exclusive games only availabe on your console.

If you're an X-box fan, take a moment to see the benefits of this. Remember the first two years of this current gen? Releases may have been at the same time, but since the Xbox was always the lead development platform, multiplats worked and played better on the 360. If this is correct, it would pretty much ensure that for this generation. Real exclusives are nice, but to have the best version, 3 months earlier of every EA game would be huge. Beyond huge.

It's also why I have difficulty believing it.

They didn't

Sony had more studios than MS in this gen.

10 MS studios right now for this gen+FASA and Ensemble=12

Sony have 13 studios+Incognito,Liverpool,Zipper=16

Because you implying they didn't invest in first party, which is false

Truly exclusive games are out of the question, of course. There is no way Microsoft is going to given EA enough money to cover revenue lost from not releasing PS4 versions.

They could just buy EA?!?

Exclusives aren't out of the question if they're new IP's. Games like FIFA are way out of the question though. I'm not sure why people are surprised, it's a typical M$ move and they've done it before and will do it again. EA aren't stupid, they'd have some form of compensation in the deal. Not to mention if it is timed exclusive for next gen only they really wouldn't lose money because no body owns a ps4! If they could sell %70 of the games and get a massive amount of compensation, they'd come out in front. It is a business after all.Microsoft sells more consoles, they sell the same amount of games (eventually) and get a massive amount of money too?

Stupid move if you, yourself are in fact stupid.
