I am quite happy with the Gamepad, including the size, but some people gripe about it. I don't think Nintendo's gonna change anything soon, I'm just speculating on a different option. There are times I prefer the pro controller though, such as playing COD, and I sometimes wish I could have the compact size and very ergonimic shape mixed with a small screen, speakers, etc. And a smaller screen works fine for DS, so it should work OK for off-screen play. It would also be effectively upping the resolution to your eye, since it would be more compact.

Don't like your idea. I like the screen the size the way it is for offscreen play/streaming. It would be like using my regular 3DS for Netflix all over again...
Makes no economic or business sense to redesign the GamePad right now. GamePad's are expensive to make, and Nintendo is barely selling the ones they already have inside the Wii U boxes. They're not even sold seperately, so it would just confuse people if they were looking at three different Wii U SKUs and one of them had a GamePad with it that looked different than the others.
Redesigns occur when manufacturing costs come down and they can produce the product cheaper. It's only been out for four months. It takes a year or two before costs come down to a level where manufacturers start looking at re-designs.
An XL, like the 3DS XL is different, because it's meant to be larger and has a bigger screen, and costs more than the regular DS. But a redesign to make something smaller and lighter requires a significant period of time to pass before it becomes feasible.

No one will buy it unless it gets a slim version. This is sound, unquestionable logic.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I hope that next year they do release a Lite version. If there´s one thing Wii U needs is a different look.
Don`t want a smaller screen, just a redesign of the console and controller. Or at least, just the controller.
3DS Xl looks way better than a 3DS. That`s what Nintendo should aim for.

they can't mak eit lite... Apple will sue them to copy the Ipad mini!
Switch!!!
