DAT HAIR....said nobody, ever. (I have preordered the game for PC, but I couldn't care less about Lara's hair)

correct, i never said "dat hair", i always say "dat terrible hair looks so odd on this character model"

great that in the future, the whole character could look believable and not like someone with a plastic hat on his head.

there was even a discussion about lara's hair some months ago because it looked so bad compared to the rest. i remember that pezus was one of those who mentioned it.

Wow! Nice to see what AMD is able to do with Microsoft's DirectCompute! "Awesome!" :D

Stunning.
Hair has always been a big problem.
Just remembered that PS4 is going to use an AMD chip

AMD used DirectCompute for Tomb Raider which is Microsoft's approach for GPGPU. It will be possible for PS3, sure, but with MS it's already in the API.

So then both consoles will likely have this amazing hair?

Fantastic.

Let's hope so! It shows what GPGPU is capable of! Eh btw, I meant PS4, not PS3 ;)

Interesting, apparently, the PS4 utilizes gpgpu as well...I'm going to post a thread about it shortly.

they used similar tech on Alice : Madness Returns , Alice felt like a barbie doll when you move her around :D

But remember, this uses DirectCompute, an implemented API from Microsoft for DirectX 11. Sony has to do this themselves in their API. But yes, will be interesting.
