Alright,,,, I worded it nicer so people calm down..... Breath!!!!! I could have written the thread extremely doomed but didn't. I worded the competition has some tricks up their sleeve. Most of you in here have been running around the other threads dooming xbox.... Don't act like you haven't.lololollll..............

I think you're misrepresenting where a lot of the fire is going. Nintendo has been getting the fire because they've severely underpowered their console, leaving it in limbo at the present time. Anyone who creates a doom thread for Microsoft is kind of stupid, because Microsoft hasn't even made their move yet. Their event is in April.

Patented!!! Meaning your point hold no water. It  doesn't matter what sony does. They also did the playstation eye and xbox made Kinect and it has been a success. now they are taking that tech a step further. You need Kinect for this to work.

You don't need kinect to project an image on the walls of a room. If you did Sony wouldn't have been able to do it 3 years ago lol

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

I want to ask you a serious question here. Do you really think Sony intentionally left off the higher profile developers so they could pad the list with mostly minor studios?  Does that make any sense at all?  If they were going to lie, wouldn't they have included the bigger names?  Unless you're telling me they thought the list was more impressive without Deep Silver, Ninja Theory, or Avalanche?  If there was ever an instance where someone could look rationally at a situation and say, OK, yeah, that was a mistake, this is it.

Second, and I'm certain you know this already, but registering patents does not mean intent to produce.  Thousands of patents are never used.  For instance, Microsoft patented a system where a camera (Kinect) actually counts the people in the room so that it can charge the account if that number exceeds the licensed amount.  In other words, if you have a bunch of people over to watch something streaming on the NextBox, it could charge you extra.  Now, do you think they're going to use that?  No, probably not.  Assuming something is going to be used just because it's been registered is folly.

You put big names and people will catch you lieing right away. Little game so maybe people didn't notice but where impressed by all the games.  The Illumi room was shown at CES, Of coarse they are going to use it. Why would they set up a both? Just for the hell of it??????? Why make a commercial advertising your product?????????why spend the money if you don't intend on using it??????????????????? Your not making a whole lot of sense or you don't have clue about business and what MS is positioning for. That showing was for hype.

You do to get the effects that the projector is doing. Not projecting on the tv. Making the room look like it's breathing and shaking because it is reshowing the room through the projector and making the room shake and breath, You need Kinect for that.  Look at the video again. I don't think you even know what the tech does.

The future of gaming. This will sell like hot cakes at the right price.

You realize Sony posted a video of this technology 3 years ago right?

Actually no they didnt they MS showed proof of concept on actual tecnology while Sony made a vid that had dudes in spandex moving things around a room.

You're really reaching now lol

lol go and watch those vids if you think im lying and those vids were a viral campaign to promote the playstaion store and not to show off actuall technology that they were making for the PS3..

I've seen the videos bro. They are the same technology applied differently, but sonys video was 3 years ago and show much more quality images, and capabilities. They've surely worked on the idea and progressed since. I'm not saying they will release it first, but don't think they are playing catch up if they released a video of the same technology 2-3 years prior to microsoft.

Link to video plz.

At CES 2013, Microsoft unveiled a proof-of-concept video of IllumiRoom, the latest addition to the Kinect's repertoire of tricks. By reading the shape of a room, the new technology creates projections dynamically, extending the usable display beyond the edges of your TV.

Microsoft official site explains, "IllumRoom uses a Kinect for Windows camera and a projector to blur the lines between on-screen content and the environment we live in allowing us to combine our virtual and physical words. For example, our system can change the appearance of the room, induce apparent motion, extend the field of view, and enable entirely new game experiences."

Given the limited capabilities of the current version of Kinect, it is safe to assume that these new features may ship with Microsoft's next-generation console. IllumiRoom notably crafts its projections without the assistance of post production, a feature that hardly seems reasonable on modern Kinect hardware. Microsoft promises full details by the end of April.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of IllumiRoom is its potential to change the way user interfaces function in games. For example, extra visual information displayed outside the boundaries of the screen could provide cues that usually block the player's view of the world that developers have lovingly molded for them. Aside from the flashy lights and momentary wow-factor, IllumiRoom carries serious practical potential. Kinect 1.0 introduced the ability for players to talk to their Xbox 360s, but now it's time for us to listen to our consoles.

Last we heard, the company was also in final talks to acquire home automation company id8 Group R2 Studios. Simply put, id8 is known for Android software which allows mobile devices to control home appliances. If the deal goes through, the next Xbox's connectivity may encompass entire households.

As Latinos Post reported earlier, rumors originating from a former Ubisoft employee suggest that the Xbox 720 will sport an 8800 series GPU, 8GB RAM, an eight-core CPU, and a 640GB hard drive. However, no official specs have been announced, so take these details with a grain of salt

Gamers won't likely have to wait long for Microsoft to open up about its next system. In fact, the company's Xbox Live coordinator Larry Hryb has set a timer on his blog which ends on the day of Microsoft's E3 Press conference. Consoles have traditionally been announced at the event in years past, so it's not that far of a stretch that the Xbox 720 will make its debut on June 11
