Am I the only one who thinks these 3ds numbers in N.America and Europe are horrible?

Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

3DS on top as usual. I guess smartphones have harmed home consoles more than handheld consoles.

No the Western market is looking bad for handhelds.  Hopefully Japan doesn't get saturated anytime soon because it's holding 3DS at the top and Vita and PSP are only kept barely alive by it.  I mean PS3 is doing almost double 3DS in NA and that's its lowest market and it's $80 more expensive while being 5 years older.

This is incorrect anyway you put it.  Japan is PS3's lowest market.  Globally the 3DS is higher than the PS3.  Of course it is because of Japan, but it doesn't change that the statement bolded is still not true.

However I am not saying the numbers for the 3DS in North America are good, but if you take a good look at all the numbers in North America, they are all relatively bad.

I mean relative sales to its competitors (home consoles).  It is behind by the largest margin and in 3rd there where it isn't in either of the other 2 big regions.  PS3 has been the least successful in NA.

Well, that point doesn't really make too much sense to me.  It's much better to look at the raw numbers for the regions specifically.  Compare them to other times, rather than to other consoles relative to other consoles, relative to other regions.

I didn't mean to get all technical here it's just something I've noticed.  3DS is dominating handhelds and PS3 is in last in home consoles in NA and is 7 years old, yet it's outselling 3DS at $80 more.  I'm saying that's a bad sign for mobile gaming in America considering the market share PS3 has and the market share 3DS has.

To me, looking at it like that still doesn't mean too much.  I remember looking at the numbers from last year and they were much closer, the 3DS to console sales.  3DS was still lower, but usually by around 10,000 or so.  All of these numbers are pretty bad, honestly.  Not very many games have been coming out.

At this point, I'm talking about the talking about of the talking about the need to talk about the Wii U number.

of course of course.   Why don't we ever "need to talk about" good numbers?  Like Xbox NA sales or PS3 Europe or WW sales?  Or how about 3DS Japan sales?  All of these would be nice and not focus on negatives.
