Natively, we went from 480p (typically sub-480) in Gen6 to 720p (typically sub-720) in Gen7, now to full 1080p in Gen8. I think that the leap to Gen8 will be most likely greater than the leap to Gen7. I'm expecting big things.

Apparently that still made the PS3 and 360 next gen consoles, but when the Wii U was on the same level or below as the PS3 and 360 it was not next gen. Looks like you are preparing to shift the goalposts to make the PS4 look more impressive than it actually is.

LOL, this is a damn good observation.

IMO X for Wii U amazed me with its graphics and KZSF looked like a small improvement from KZ3. Both games looks similar to be, but people only rip on Nintendo.

No offence to anyone, but this website is backlogged with Sony fans. I think a lot of people here believed PS4 games look better then Wii U games even before the PS4 announcement and this previous conception, blurs peoples judgements. This will only get worse when NextBox is released, and I think that system has very similar specs to the PS4.

Then again, one could argue I'm a Nintendo fan, which I kinda am, and that my amazement at the graphical leap from Wii to Wii U blurs my judgement.

Regardless, both Wii U and KZSF games look good. I think graphics have improved enough that we shouldn't waste our times arguing over which game looks best. They all look similar, so now let's play the games which we like and are good.......ooo JRPG!

No. Just simply no. The leap from 6th to 7th gen is a lot more obvious than the "leap" from 7th to 8th Gen. I don't know why some people feel like this is a bad thing when people just point out the truth. It's not. It's just the way the rest of the generations are going to play out. 6th to 7th generational leap was the last true leap.

biggest jump was from snes to n64 IMO.

literally everything changed graphics, gameplay ,sound etc..

I say if people want to be hyped, let them be hyped and believe whatever they want. At least there will be no RAM shortage this time fo better lighting, and we will see better physics and AI for sure. I honestly just want fun games though, and Killzone is honestly not that fun to me....... One thing Uncharted does a lot better is the humor, KZ is just "fuck this,""fuck fuck!" and "fuck that!" Which translates to me as "don't play me, I have no substance, at all." Can't wait to see ND's next game on PS4, that's for sure.

Your comments lies in the fact the Wii U is never show the same graphic lead over the last generation than PS360 did or PS4/Nextbox will do.

I never said the Wii U is weaker than PS360... it is weak for a new generation. The Wii U seems like 50% better than PS360... PS4 seems over 800% better than PS360.

Anyway the Killzone Shadown Fall demo uses less than 1.5GB VRAM... there are a lot of improvement coming to final game.

you said the gap between ps4 and ps2 will be bigger as the gap between ps3 and ps2. i don't think anyone would doubt that. and because i know it's a typo i used the smiley
