Not a chance. They are most likely already in a contract with Microsoft for this entire gen coming up. I also don't think all these people would be leaving EPIC if they were taking Gears multiplat.

BTW your articles are 2 and 3 years old . One was from 2010 and the other was from 2011. You have no idea what deals have been through Microsoft and how everything stands with that IP.

Why because I took time to read an articel from 3 years ago? How can someone take 2 articles that are 2-3 years old, tie that in with Epics tweet about liking Sony's show, and then say their is a 50 percent chance Gears comes to the PS3? That is no evidence at all.

Don't you think if it was going to happen there would have been something in the works already? We have no idea where that IP stands as of now.

Is that not part of the reason why the OP said there is a possibilty it may cross over? His words didn't strike me as if it was set in stone. His conclusion appears to be sound based on the evidence he provided. We will have to wait and see, however.

I'm not saying there is a 50% chance or not, but just as likely that MS made some sort of contract with them so could have Sony right? 2-3 year old articles sound kind of spot on for game development period for a next gen launch game doesn't it? Epic own the IP, not MS, they can go multiplat if they want to. They chose to not be on PS3 this gen because of the hardware, that isn't the case anymore. They could go multiplat and make more money, they are a big franchise.

Epic has nothing tying them down to Xbox really.

it could be also exactly the reason why they left epic, because they want to make something different now. cliff blezinski left and i think some of those who also left after him will work with him in the future on whatever he planned.

same, if rein's comment is true than ms would have to pay around $100M to epic to make it worth epic's time to keep it exclusive.  ms has way better ways to spend their money.

That and I fully expect nearly zero 3rd party exclusives next gen

The two consoles will be even easier to port to one another than this gen was and both consoles have huge fanbases that are impossible to ignore.  The days of 3rd party exclusives are over
