I would put Animal Crossing in S-Tier

New Leaf will definitely hit 10 Million IMO.

I spilit the Pokemon franchises as they are spin-offs rather than part of a main series.

AC however, can't really be seperated into a Console and Handheld franchise. Will be placed in S-tier if NA numbers for AC to rise.

Why just if NA sales rise? If it sells 10 Million WW it is S-Tier according to your OP. You based it off potential too, AC has a ton IMO. Judging from your sig, you don't see it. I'm assuming that's why it's A-Tier.

Now remember that the AC franchise originally got it's start on consoles. I can't rank it at S-tier based on handheld series alone. To do that I would have to spilt up the franchise into 2, the handheld and console componets, which I can't really do because they all play the same. It makes sense that the console Pokemons (Stadium, XD) are different from their handheld equivalents.

Animal crossing though isn't really something that can be divided into 2 just because they exist on 2 kinds of systems. It would be like dividing up the 2D marios on both handheld and console. So for now considering that the handheld is S and the console is B I took the one in the middle which is A. It's the best I can do for now.

(I mean come on spiltting up Pokemon and Mario makes sense due to all the spin-off series and what not. Animal Crossing should stay as 1 franchise.)

I agree that Animal Crossing should stay one franchise but it still has S-Tier written all over it. Pokemon has 2 games with each release so it isn't exactly S-Tier either. I understand your decision though.

I believe the games are developed by arika, but funded by nintendo, and I think that some nintendo team helped them with the games too. And nintendo published them.

And I want to bring up the whole 1080, wave race and f zero thing.

I put in F-Zero because it's been hinted that there will be a sequel.

F-Zero Virtual console release, Nintyland minigame. Falcon was big enough to always be in SSB so I have a feeling he's not "dead" status yet.

Well: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/11/03/shigeru-miyamoto-on-the-future-of-f-zero-and-the-creation-of-link.aspx

Miyamoto was surprised that anyone wanted a new f zero. Wich I take as a sign that it is unlikely to get a new game in the series.

Furthermore nintendo have stated that they want to get the harcore back, and what is better than to bring back a few titles with a more realistic feeling.

The two have also sold rather well.

I think you should add them. They are not too dead, if you get what I mean :D

Animal Crossing is one of Nintendo's largest franchises for sure - I wouldn't be against putting it in S-Tier, but maybe we should see how New Leaf's sales go in the West first :)

Alright. We will be waiting a while for this to sell 10 Million though. Animal Crossing is a longevity beast.

Need to find places for the IPs below

Tomodachi Collection
Rhythm Heaven
Art Academy

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Alright. Will get going.

Rhythm Heaven for the Wii didn't sell that well, and the DS one is olddddd. But it's not what I'd call a dead franchise so I'll place it at the bottom of C-tier for now.

As for Art Academy, the numbers for Europe are weird.....but since this didn't sell as well as Rhythm Heaven 3DS so far, until I have more data it belongs in D-tier just not sure where.

Tomodachi collection. No 3DS game yet, and since it wasn't localized it seems it isn't really a priority to Nintendo. Looks like we don't be getting a sequel anytime soon. I'll get you decide where this one belongs because I have no idea if it's dead or not. It might have been just a 1-time thing.

If it starts trending ahead of WW in NA then i'll gladly place it in S-tier (For some period of time, like 2 months or so maybe). Might be ahead of SSB if that manages to happen.
