How is Far Cry Instinct?

I was thinking about that game today. I heard it has a map editor? What's up with that? It sounds cool.

What are some other games that are older games that you'd recommend checking out?

Um...

Perfect Dark?

Prey?

Lost Planet?

Are they any good?

My funds are low, but my game interest is high and I already did a massive trade-in thing at GameStop so I could get my hands Mass Effect, Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, and COD4 at the end of last year.

THANKS!

i loved far cry instincts...prey was good too...didnt like lost plant or PD:Zero

It's crap. Play the original PC FarCry, that's a great game.

far cry instincs was a good game it was challenging and fun

I don't know about the console games, but I hated Far Cry on the PC. Something about pushing stealth, but people can see you from a mile away doesn't really mix well. Then, enemies do a ton of damage against you (even on easy), but then you're forced to go through areas of combat. Lastly, a checkpoint save system to top it all off.

Oh, I forgot about the terrible voice acting and sub par story.

I think Far Cry on PC is still fun - and I'll always thank these guys for saying FPS don't have to be in the future, grey and grimy, or full of tight linear paths.

Sure it had flaws - the checkpoint system and unbalanced difficulty levels the worst offenders - but if you play it on a PC at max settings its amazing how good it still looks.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Lost Planet

I don't know about the 360 version, but Far Cray Instincts on the xbox 1 was a complete and utter joke compared to the PC version of Far Cry.

Perfect Dark would be ok if you can get it for really cheap (which you probably can)

FC: Instincts is better than Lost Planet, Prey and Perfect Dark but that's mainly because those games are mediocre (Perfect Dark is a launch game, and it shows...).
The PC version of Far Cry is very good, way better than Crysis imho!

Perfect Dark Zero is pretty great on multiplayer. For $20, your not going to find much better, IMO. The single player (imo) is a joke, but multiplayer is a huge blast with friends, and/or bots.

Lost Planet is a love/hate game. I'm more on the hate side. Supposedly online multiplayer is really, really good.

Prey was OK. Worth a rent, but considering it's age, I doubt many would be still playing it online.

Far Cry was real fun with it's map editor, but you NEED friends to play it with you for it to be worth it.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
