Sure, Halo sells a lot of copies, but just like Kitler said, it won't stop Sony from outselling them.

Fact:Even with MS's head start....PS3 has been outselling their console WW for a while now, they closed that gap almost entirely. When thinking of simil releases, if PS3 hade been out the same year, we would be looking at a 7million lead on PS3 right now, if they had came out earlier....double that if not more as the 360 machine only gained traction due to the head start.

As long as PS4 comes out first, or at the same time I don't think Sony has anything to worry about. Halo will do Halo numbers regardless, their IPs will be just as successful but split amongst several releases.

What is also fairly important is this Launch LineUp, Sony plans to come out swinging with the 1st Gen games for sure.

Why does Sony have to do anything? They're the leaders in gaming.

Halo 5 would be an insane system seller in amerika and a real problem for sony if it is a release game but on the other hand sony has Gran Turismo 6 which will be an insane system seller for japan and Europe a year later. In the end i think no one will really dominate next gen. I think all of the three companys will get healthy sales which isnt a bad thing by any means.

No - gaming as whole. If there was 1 brand associated with gaming worldwide it's the PlayStation.

Not much they can do. Halo is Halo. It well sell regardless and it will move consoles for MS. Sony just needs to focus on their games, which are equally great franchises. If all they do is try to chase MS on their AAA title's sales, they will fall flat on their face. For me, keep the IPs coming. I love new worlds, new heroes, new villains and new adventures. The PS3 had plenty of great new franchises and others that continued over from the PS2. Just like with Uncharted, God of War and LBP, they will get their big sellers.

Being hypothetical, as the original question is! For me the question is, will Halo 5 be enough for Microsoft if Sony comes out with ' The Last Guardian' as a PS4 launch title! Coz i assume Playstation guys are not much into Fps compared to Xbox guys
