Haha! Good joke comment!

Don't agree, say otherwise but don't ridicule.

It all depends on PS4. If the PS4 is doing great then Sony has more money and teams it can give to vita. In addition later on in life when Vita gets to $150 it will sell a lot for remote play.

If PS4 does mediocre then things for the vita will continue as is.

If PS4 has a bad first year like PS3 then the vita gets discontinued.

"I expect the Vita to have a 10 year life on the market.  Think about how powerful it is."

"When it does get it's first system seller"

"I expect sales to raise eventually."

"...third parties will then become more attracted to the vita."

"Let's say that the Vita sells 4m on average every year of it's life.  Multiply with a 10 year lifecycle and bam, 40m consoles."

"This is my prediction at a bare minimum"

...

Yes

Yeah, that doesn't sound like a joke what so ever and all you are doing is making pointless statements.  You disagree then say why.  As you can see, me and  Kowenicki had a good conversation about this and if you feel like contributing then do so, but as i said dont ridicule

Vita will start selling well and crows will go extinct. Gamers should really get behind this system, it is great. Stop the hate.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

change your Title to Maximum!!!

10 years is way too long if its only going to get 4-6mil hardware units sold each year, just saying!

Who is going to make games for this device? Also, who is going to make games for this device, if it continues to struggle in its second year? An installed base of 10m or less after two years on the market with little software sales isn't going to encourage publishers.

At this point you have to hope for a third party bailout (meaning that they'll pour money into the platform this year in order to build an installed base they can profit from later on) and even that will only apply to the Japanese market. Western publishers won't care if the Vita dies an early death and gamers won't buy a system that sees barely any support. So that leaves PS4 remote play as its saving grace which basically means that you can stick the fork in it. Such a feature doesn't have widespread value.

What will make life even harder for the Vita is that Sony won't put their weight behind the platform. Their top development teams will focus on the PS4. So my final question is my first question: Who is going to make games for this device?

i Dont think 3rd parties will completely bailout.  I also dont expect a big incline in sales this year either.  I expect it to be anywhere between 7-10m by the end of this year.  I expect it's biggest incline to be either in it's 3rd or 4th year.

40m sounds about right, I wouldn't call it the minimum though.

Add about 5 Million on to that number and I would call it the absolute maximum, especially if it keeps selling like this.
