Your guess is as good as mine. Clearly it was declining since Sony decided to discountue it. Maybe in the ballpark of 2.25-2.75 million between April and December. If it's at the low end of that than 76-77 million by now is quite believable, especially since Sony are projecting 2.9 million PS3 shipments this quarter.

Still doesn't change the fact that they're projecting 2.9 million shipments. And like I said, that's just a guess anyway. Hence why I gave a range and not a specific number.

:edit: And besides that, looking back on it my predicted range isn't that good anyway. Think about it, not too long ago Sony stated that they would continue to produce the PS2 until demand for it was basically non-existent. If the high end of the range I gave was accurate than PS2 would have shipped about 3.5 million for the full fiscal year. Why would Sony discontinue it if it was only seeing a modest decline compared to the previous year?

They were all in the thread, yeah. About 2 of them (one of which was perma'd after about 50 posts) voiced a concern about having to pay even more for Live. That doesnt matter though. You specifically brought up "Sony fans". If I remember right, you said "Funny how only Sony fans care about this". You called them out, knowing what would happen (it always happens) then you left again with the sly digs... "Ill leave you Sony fans to talk about it".

You bring up Sony and Sony fans a lot. Should it have been a ban? I dont think so. A warning? Probably. Either way, its fairly obvious why you were moderated after the thread went off topic with petty little arguments.

He doesn't have to know the up-to-date numbers, his tone suggested it was a educated guess. But even then, he has no idea how much MS shipped in the same time frame, so his "if not more" comment further implies its just PR.

Jack is a big business man with much to do. We can't expect him to just whip up the correct number all the time. He's probably off by a couple million or so.
