I dunno, but some signs are pointing towards good support (Watch Dogs is obviously a great start, though more is needed).

All comes down to infividual devs now. I'm not holding out much hope, however.

Everything has been Ubisoft though

That's very true, and that's why I said it's down to individual devs. Highly unlikely to get the same support as the PS4, but likely to get more support than the Wii. That's where I'd pitch it (talking about AAA titles ofc).

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

No, for the most part. I think Nintendo needs to greatly expand their development teams to a point that the Wii U and 3DS don't need to rely on third parties in the future. Like the biased comment, a Nintendo console is bought entirely for their exclusive games might be exactly what the Wii U needs to become, in my opinion.

Outside of EA, I think Nintendo will have decent 3rd party support. The PS4 is powerful but doesn't have that different of tech running it, so almost all games will be scalable. The biggest problem for the Wii was the lack of similar GPU tech. With Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo all using similar tech this time around and with third party engine being made so they scale Nintendo should catch almost all of the major releases. The only problem is political as seen with the current EA/Nintendo infighting because of the rumored Origin fallout.

They still have a chance if the ps4 and 720 end up launching for $600.

PS3 launched at $600. It doesn't matter what the price will be, clearly, they will support Sony's vision every time.

the fanboy is strong in you!

It looks to me like ps4 is gonna flop and xbox 3 aswell.  Only because I have not seen the software sales of the current systems fall but steadily rise (i'm making this up, its in my gut).  and the price tags are gonna determine the victors.   Especially with the world currency crash that's bubbling.  WiiU, Ps3, Xbox 2 are gonna be the only survivors.. and they will share 3rd party support.

learn to know the denial of the fanboy, and you will be able to save your sony from certain death.

^.^ good post.

I'm sure Nintendo will continue to work with third party devs to get decent support for their system. I dunno if they'll be getting many PS4/XB3 multiplats, but my gut tells me no.

Exclusivity is growing less financially viable every year. Scalability is a quickly growing trend.

Yes, Wii U will have third-party support. Whether it is "good" or not will depend on who you're asking.

absolutely. None of the games were really mindblowing visually. And remember that Nintendo seemed to be holding back its big first party games so that 3rd parties could get some shine. Sony showed alot of 1st party software and there were no release dates given for any of them. X is the only true Wii U game that has been shown so far to give us an indication of what the hardware can do. I mean hell even pikmin 3 started out on the Wii. And looking at NFS I think its safe to say it has enough power to compete.

Games are fun.

As of right now, I don't see a single PS4 game that needs so much in the graphics department, or requires such for gameplay purposes. Down the line it will be a severe problem though.
