I think people are building themselfs up for massive dissappointment. Remember this is NOT e3.

When sony revealed the ps3 for the first they showed one game which was unreal tournament 3, and they didn't even show gameplay. Now I'm not saying the same is going to happen because this reveal is alot closer to the systems expected launch then the ps3's reveal and we know a ton of devs have next gen games which we assume are ready to be shown... But still, there is the possibility that we see very little and just get an idea of how the console operates and how its graphics will be.

E3 2005? Motorstorm, Killzone 2 and GT Vision.

A better analogy for what is happening right now is the Vita reveal as opposed to the PS3 one.

Vita was shown in early Q1, hardware and specs were shown, full game montage with a few select titles being elaborated on, OS revealed, etc.

From what we already expect to be revealed, this is already bigger than any E3 show (Gakai, PS3 games reiteration, Vita games, PS4 Reveal, Vita/PS4 intergration are 100% garenteed to be shown).

You don't invite this amount of people (1200) to a small event where you are just going to touch base on bigger news for the future.

I hope they're both there; and I hope they're both for around launch. However, I'm certainly not going to get my hopes up. Leads to disappointment.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Non will be shown

PS4 title is nice and all but I want this for my PS3 because I won't be able to play it for at least a year or so, with me having no extra money. I am saving up for Vita and for a new PS3 to replace my old PS3.

I am also saving up for a concert this fall those are my priorities.

side note. I can also forsee Square Enix totally throwing in a Versus demo in with Lighting Returns in order to boost that game's sales. That is also honestly the only way I would buy that game at a price over $20.

Actually that is a good idea, did they not do the same thing with IX and X or am I mistaken? I have been wondering how they talk more about Versus if they are still trying to get people excited about Lightning Returns and this might be the perfect way

I think it is highly likely that Versus has not been cancelled and I would put a 90% chance of it being shifted to the PS4 given how Squeenix should want to spread out its FF games. I am not 100% convinced that it will be announced tomorrow, it may be something that they want to save for E3, as they will need something there. It also may get shifted behind a more traditional RPG as I feel sooner or later Squeenix will realise that they will eventaully need to release one of those....

I am fairly convinced about a Last Guardian PS4 reveal, though I think I will still remain unexcited about it

I think Sony is going all out with this reveal. Screw E3. That's for the competition and with the supposed amount of content and a new system they don't need to reveal anything new there. They could get away with new content on announced games, gameplay presentations, more PS4 awesomeness and still have a kick ass E3.

This event is all Sony's. No one else. These things don't come around every year and everyone will be watching them. Investors, consumers, media. An event like this shits all over E3. I know everyone gets hyped for E3 every year, but that means nothing. NOTHING. Everything is being primed and set for the 20th, and has been for YEARS. E3 is child's play. E3 is too short to cover everything so they leak stuff days in advance. The PlayStation meeting will be one giant megaton, all dedicated to the most awesome of whats been going on in the industry.

If you are not hyped. If you are not going in with high expectations. Wear a diaper, because U R NOT E.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Saw this a while ago. Don't know if it was posted but it is related.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

Agree with Chark and Cloud, I too think Sony will go all out at the event tomoro.

I really don't see a reason to wait for E3. Not to mention that at E3 you are directly competing with all the other big boys...and the chances of coming off as most impressive/exciting is really slim.

So i say game reveals, gameplay demos, trailers, hardware reveals, software reveals, release dates, and prices are all a go for the event!

They've generated quite a bit of hype now...and if they don't deliver it will backfire on Sony...
