You know, with the changing definitions of marriage, I wonder how long it will be until they allow polygamous groups to marry. I mean, Looking at it from an ethical standpoint, there's nothing WRONG with one person being in love with multiple people, and humans are 'social monogamous' naturally, which means our genes tend to gravitate towards being with a group rather than an individual (it takes a village, and all that jazz.)

Personally, I'm Polygamous. I don't really believe in Monogamy for my own purposes. I can't even fathom only being with one person my whole life. I love multiple people, I'm not gonna make myself miserable by cutting out a segment of my love life to conform to what is currently the 'acceptable' paradigm.

The main issue is that many of our laws would have to be changed to properly accomodate such a thing. The only reason I can possibly think up is the complications that would arise from allowing polygamous marriage.

Which brings me to my next point: what is everyone's thoughts on 'sexual favors'? I know this is a bit more intimate/personal than the thread is used to conversing about, but I'm in an awkward position and I was wondering what others thought.

A friend of mine is in a long distance relationship. He's been one of my best friends all my life, but his boyfriend lives a state (and technically country) over. We live in Ontario, his boyfriend lives in Maine, so they don't get to see one another as often as they'd like. well, my friend...he has a hell of a libido, and masturbation doesn't really cut it, so I offered him a sort of release. I'm not gay, but I let him treat me as though I were, if you get my drift. It always makes me a little uncomfortable because, as I said, I'm not gay and my body is in no way attracted to men, but I'm comfortable enough in my body and sexuality that I'm okay with it. Above all else I'm just happy to help my friend relieve some tension, because that's the kind of guy I am.

His boyfriend is also VERY well endowed, and doesn't enjoy sex because my friend is too tight, so I offered him similar release if and when he ever desires it, because I'm okay with it and I'd love to help m friends with some issues they're having.

does that make me a slut or a whore or something? I feel a little dirty because, although both are okay with 'extracurricular' engagements outside of their relationship, it still feels weird.

I'm trying to figure out if you Runa are a really weird friend to have, or a really good one... hmm... Since I was never in a situation like this, I'm probably not the best person to give any advice, but I personally wouldn't do or engage into things that would make me feel uncomfortable.

On a being slut or whore. Unless you're getting some $$$ for it you ain't a whore. Slut? *shrugs* I always wanted to be tossed around by two hot daddies... would that make me a slut? I know it would be fun, so who cares!?

If you're not 100% comfortable with what you are doing then don't do it Runa. Whilst I can understand why you want to do what you are doing, if everyone isn't 100% comfortable with it, then it has the potential to get messy and awkward. On top of that, I'm sure your friend would rather you be comfortable than fulfil his libido so just talk to him about it.
