Forums - Nintendo - Let's predict Mario & Luigi: Dream Team sales

Do you think Dream Team can match Bowser's Inside Story sales?

Yes, in fact I think it will surpass it 13 46.43%

Yes, it will most likely match it 8 28.57%

No, but it will come close 7 25.00%

It will sell poorly becau... 0 0%

Total:28

Do you think Dream Team can out-sell Bowser's Inside Story or will it be more in line the first two entries?

I think Partner in Time's low sales comparative to the other two games was due to DS still being less than one year old at the time.  Combined with the complexities in the game from having to control both sets of M&L simultaneously.  That probably led to poor word-of-mouth about the game, as well as the criticism from all the reviews.

So I think it's safe to say Dream Team has the ability to match Bowser's Inside Story sales, and I absolutely think it will have no problem passing Superstar Saga's sales after only being on sale for a short period of time.

What do you guys think?

+ Europe: 0.02m 1.3%

Damn. We Americans love us some Mario&Luigi. We make up more than half the buyers each installment. Im saying more that the original but less than Inside Story only because I doubt EU will pick up the slack.

man oh man, This one game will be hard to predict. The good thing is the game will be more popular than the others, and the summer release helps big time. I'll say it'll be the highest out of all 4! Sooooooo......

2.5mil=NoA
550k=Euro
1mil=Jap
300k=RoW

sooo.... 4.35mil!!!

It will be my first Mario and Luigi title, mainly because I'm ready for an RPG. Nintendo clearly won't give that to my with Paper Mario, so I will have to try this.

Those are some crazy good numbers BIS pulled there. I must admit that I haven't played any of the games because I didn't own a DS.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

I would say an overall of 2.5 - 3 millions. I don't see it winning over Bowser's inside Story. But it will probably be as awesome as Superstar Saga, my favourite among the Mario&Luigi saga.

Mine too.  Bowser's Inside Story is definitely second-best though, IMO.

You're missing out.  The first and third games are some of the best turn-based RPG's I've played, aside from Paper Mario 1 and TTD for GCN.
