Forums - Gaming - 3DS Have A Potential Price Cut To Rival PSV?

Will 3DS have a price cut this year? (soon)

Yes, Original+XL will be $149.99/$179.99 24 11.94%

Original+XL will be $139.99/$169.99 14 6.97%

Yes Major Price Cut 4 1.99%

No, but have a New Model 28 13.93%

Not At All 130 64.68%

Total:200

There is no need of a price cut for the 3DS now, it's performance is in well shape and looking for the upcoming games, that's not gonna happen anytime soon.

No reason 2. The only real advantage the Vita has is in terms of power, and that doesn't equate with value in the eyes of consumers. For a while the DSi was priced above the PSP 3000 and it sold well.

Games.......

3DS already more than rivals PS Vita, why cut price? Even with the price cut, PS Vita is still $30+ more than 3DS, and with a significantly less-appealing lineup of software, both presently as well as looking at the release slate for the rest of the year.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

Pokemon will crush all competiton much harder than a price cut ever will.

I LOVE ICELAND!

I do think a new 3DS model is inevitable, though. Maybe even imminent. Smaller, lighter, better battery, sort of the opposite of the 3DS XL for people who want something small akin to the size of a smartphone.

Another one?

Were there any new Vita games announced?

The Vita is really no threat to the 3DS at all, and the 3DS is selling at a profit now. Nintendo would be wise to not touch the price until they absolutely need to.

Nintendo already dropped their handheld prices. No way they are gonna do it again so soon
