The Wii U is really putting a damper on my plans to mock next-gen Sony/MS console sales once they're out.

I swear; with how low the Wii U is setting the bar, it's gonna be outright impossible for PS4/720 to seem like they have anything but godly sales when they release. ;(

yeah here's what a user said in reply to a similar comment like yours

"Nope. A lot of confidence right now. PS Meeting will set a certain expectation for folks, and E3 will show you what to expect from the first year. Sony Worldwide Studios has geared up for Orbis for a long time now. There will be a steady stream of games from them. This isn't even including third party efforts, of which there will be two very notable exclusives for Sony fans."

what are the two third party exclusives? one i guess is the QD game. but what is the other? * secretly wishes for agent*

Holy, 55k, that is bad. Wow.

In success or failure, Nintendo likes to go big, eh?

What will Wii U numbers for February be like?

35k?

Four week month, right?

Eh, I say 40-45k.

Sales in reality should stay flat. While there will be 1 Week less, Americans get tax return. This usually gives Feb a boost.

Someone correct me if Im wrong.

I know it's been said before but damn that 55k Wii U figure. That is beyond terrible. At this point no one can really sound overly dramatic. Next-Gen two way race confirmed.

Nintendo should not have simply assumed the casuals would come back just because they have a tablet controller. they should've either made a powerful console, a year ahead of the other nextgen consoles, or come out way sooner with the tablet controller.

2012 and tablets... thats 2 years too late to be called innovative.

The craziest part of all of this is you can blame the price, the marketing, the lack of software, but at the end of the day the PS3 sold almost 4.5x more in Jan 2007 with 599 US Dollars, 'no games™' and crying baby ads.  People just don't seem to be interested in the Wii U.

this also shows how teh market has changed dramatically since 2007. back then a console would live alone on the promise of games. today if you dont have the content and steady stream to back it up then your pretty much screwed

I hate to be a party pooper, but im pretty sure posting those kind of gifs over and over is a bannable offence.

wtf is it true? 55k in a month?!

So a recap; we have undertracked the 360 by 30k, the PS3 by 100k and overtracked the Wii and Wii U by 20k both?
