Forums - Nintendo - EBGames/GameStop list shows Watch Dogs and Rainbow 6 for Wii U

If this is true, I wouldn't be surprised if this was part of an "agreement" with Nintendo for the delay and multi-plat release of Rayman.

It would also take some of the sting out of waiting till September for Rayman as well.

Funny thing is, when I first heard that Rayman was being delayed the first thing that went through my mind was, dammit, WiiU better get Watch Dogs because of this crap. Now we see this.

I think we need to hear from BenVTrigger in this thread...

I hope that is the case. It would certainly be the fair thing to do, and probably the one move that would eliminate most of the backlash they're receiving regarding the Rayman delay. Otherwise it shows not only a major hypocracy of Ubisoft (caving in to PS360 fans for Rayman but not listening to Nintendo fans for Watch Dogs), but it also would show their complete lack of respect for Nintendo fans. I couldn't bring myself to buy another Ubi product if after the stunt they pulled with Rayman, they STILL don't throw Nintendo fans a bone and release Watch Dogs or Far Cry 3 on Wii U.

It was confirmed to be on 360 and PS3 as well back around E3 much like MGS Ground Zero is on current gen as well.

Do you actually think they will say it's a PS4/720 title before the consoles get announced?

It's just a cover up.

I don't normally like usng IGN, but they were the quickest path to this. I don't doubt it WILL come to PS4 and the next Xbox, as part of Ubisoft's plan to spread costs, and therefore risks, in establishing market share on new consoles. Release onto existing consoles while acclimatising to newer consoles, meaning you can sell onto already established systems and establish yourself on newer consoles without facing the risks of selling to a small install base.

I'm not sure if anyone else has pointed that out to you, but I hope that helps. Watch Dogs seems to be Ubisoft's flagship cross-generation title.

Who said anything about PS4 and 720? As things go it's also a 360 and PS3 game.

It probably is true. Didn't each dogs come out a while ago? Who wants a yard old game on the Wii U? Or was that sleeping dogs?

You're thinking Sleeping Dogs--totally different game.

Watch Dogs would work nicely on Wii U, what with the emphasis on using the main character's tablet device.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I`m really hoping that WD comes to Wii U.
Rainbow 6 is more than welcomed. I played R6 Vegas on Xbox 360 and loved it. If it`s as good i`ll buy it. And considering that Ghost Recon Online pretty much vanished a compensation is in order!

Uummm.... watch dogs IS coming to WiiU. And it does look really cool. I would expect most 3rd party multiplats to come to WiiU going forward.

lol great reason why one shouldn't trust everything Wikipedia says.

"[...] for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, Wii U and the Xbox 360.[3]"

Source: 3. Goldfarb, Andrew. "E3 2012: Watch Dogs Coming to Consoles and PC, Could Hit Wii U". IGN. Retrieved 23 October 2012.

"
“PS3, 360 and PC,” Key told us when we asked him to confirm which systems we can expect Watch Dogs to be released on.

In addition, we also asked Key if the game could come to Wii U.

“Not at this time," he said. "We have so many titles in development for Wii U right now that we need to keep that team focused and this is a very very ambitious game. But it’s not out of the question.”"

Clearly not confirmed.

So sad about the short list of releases and how just 2 third parties games on a Nintendo console is good news.
