most people are follower, they do what others do if they think it it's cool because they want to be part of it. so no, it doesn't annoy me, it amuses me always to see those trends

I don't think anyone expects internet memes to be timeless, that's kind of the whole point of them. They are a captured essence of something that is raging at that time, they are effectively time litimted jokes by nature.

I find most memes to be stupid or I don't understand the references since I haven't seen that particular show, movie etc or played the right game or heard the right song.

Some memes are funny though, my favourite is Joseph Ducreux for some reason, I love playing with language and text. I still consider myself an individual though.

I don't understand this particular meme, to be honest, I haven't updated myself on gaming related news for a couple of weeks, what amuses me is the fact that people are actually annoyed by avatars and gifs and the fact that some of the people who damn them are using these themselves. Is it overly mature and smart humor? No, but neither are farts. I do love farts though.

PS: Claiming that you're not "most people" and sporting Master Chief as an avatar is somewhat of a strange thing to witness.

Oh you mean like the trend where people will call out and judge other people on the internet? Yes, that is amusing :) But then again its not a trend, is it? More like a fixation.

My avatar is actually a old pic of me dressed as Master Chief for a new years party.  I'm pressing the button on a pedestrian crossing which given the hue of paint I'd used made me look like the Green Cross Code man I thought it was a fun pic.  Don't see many people on here using avatars of themselves....

I'm pretty sure someone else has dressed up Master Chief before too, still one of the masses!

I imagine plenty of people built their own Masterchief armour out of fibreglass, painted it, then wore it for a fancy dress party.  They literally cram the fancy dress parties I goto. 

Well, its quite common at the parties I go to, that and Iron Man costumes built out of titanium with fully functional weaponry and flight enabled. No biggie.
