(my guesses) First 3 days = at least 800k (then include digital)>>> 2nd week 300k (full week)>>> 3rd 150k>>> 4th 85k>>> continue for about 5th week intill 10th week 50-70k! That just in the first 10 weeks should be over 1.60mil (including digital)! just my opinion

Indeed, not bad when you consider the 3DS has a smaller install base than the 5-6 remakes as well. Though this was always going to be a big title, but not this big.

DQVIII wouldn't do near as well as DQVII for very obvious reasons.
Edit: Wow, this second page is a messy slap fight. DQ7 did very well, it was set up to suceed. It's a perfect time for it to be made and released.

Not to rain on your parade but DQ tend to have front loaded sales much like Pokemon. They usually have a 60-75% drop-off in its second week o_o

That aside, it wouldn't be any improvement at all. It's more intensive that Tales of the Abyss, which wasn't worth buying on the 3DS. Remakes are worth buying if they improve on the original, otherwise, it isn't much of a remake.
