Mourinho is just...evil. How can anyone be happy for him?

Mourinho is a genius... he was the coach/manager of FC Porto and won Europe League and the Champions in a row... after this, there is no other way i can describe this man. GENIUS...
FC Porto is the strongest Portuguese team and a big team in Europe, but his path in FC Porto was stellar...

i am happy for Mourinho but that is it... CR just ruins the name "Ronaldo" for me... how i loved to see the "Fenomeno" playing...

When I was a kid I used to go see him while he was  playing for PSV in the Netherlands... he was so amazing.. couldn't believe my eyes

i was 16 when i first saw him playing in Barcelona... was not the biggest fan of football back then (more of a computer geek in 1996 giving the first steeps in the internet/porn... 15 minutes to open a naked chick photo, oh the memories), and he change a lot the  way i felt about football...

Ref ruined the Man U vs Madrid game.

I never really understand the motivations behind comments such as this. Ref is doing their job (I know you'll argue he got it wrong), applying the laws of the game based on his view of the incident. Champions League of Football Conference, the referee has that job to do. He can't decide to keep cards in his pocket just because of the is the CL round of 16.

Incidentally, my opnion was it was a red, and correctly predicte dit would be when the ref was waiting for Nani to get up. Despite the lack of intent, foot was high, studs were up and he caught the player. I've seen reds given for less and not given for more, but last night felt the ref got it right.

yea, there was nothing wrong with that red card in my opinion, not sure why there even is so much discussion about that

Meh, opinions are split on it. Id have said Yellow due to the lack of intent.

Hes quite card happy and obviously likes to be the center of attention. Last night was a perfect example of that.

You are reading far too much into the situation and basing it on a single incident, which not a good way to judge someone. Is Howard Webb 'card happy' for is performance in the world cup final or did Holland just have a bunch of dirty tactics? (Its dirty tactics btw)

Overall, though the ref didn't have a great game. Althought I agreed with the red, there were a number I didn't agree with as well as a fair few incidents that he missed.

not lack of intent, lack of care - he never checked whether or not it was safe to use a "high foot" and consequently he hit Arbeloa with quite some force

well within the rights of the ref to show red for this one, although out of 100 refs 50 might show yellow for the same challenge

Nah, just looking at his stats. 8 games in 2013. 36 yellows and 3 reds. If that isnt card happy, I dont know what is.

Interesting that Jose said afterward "The better side lost" in either a rare sign of humility or being a bit tongue in cheek.

Moving back to football. Juventus are all but assured a spot in the next round, so it is the PSG v. Valencia match I am interested in. Zlatan was, well, Zlatan and got the red card so see if one goal advantage will hold at Parc des Princes.
