Xenoblade is rated higher.

So is Call of Duty: Black Ops. I want to play Xenoblade though, looks amazing.

Isn't Pokemon a JRPG?

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

Not Even Close, I like, Shadow Hearts 2, FF8,9,X,X-2, Persona 3, 4, TWEWY, Valkyria Chronicles, Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky, Dark Soul's, Parasite Eve, XenogearsLots of PSX games clearly more.

It might have the best art design, and if not it isdefinetly top 3 in that category. As a JRPG I'm sure there will be some that put it as their favorite. Only played 20 hours though.

After 60 hours I'm in the post game and still going but I can see the end looming. It is a great game, best artwork in decades for sure.

But as game mechanics go Dark souls was better. And I spend more time with ff12. I wish I could program the AI like in FF12 since they have no sense in pacing themselves mana wise. (pretty annoying in the no item arena stages)

Field battles become too easy as well just like any other rpg, press x button a few times to win. Unfortunately necessary to level up new familiars and farm necessary items. At least if you don't want to you can easily skip them later. Most of them will run away from you, or you can outrun them and there are plenty shortcuts and ways for travel.

The huge amount of great Boss battles make up for the field battles though. There were some epic ones I was sure I was going to fail but somehow managed to juggle everything just right to pull it off.

Definitely one of the best jrpgs in a long time. Great story quest with some solid side quests with the best ones saved for post game. And flying over that beautiful world never gets old.

I vaguely remember there being a way to set the A.I. for your party.

If this game was multiplat I bet you wouldnt say this

If you said this about Xenoblade, the statement is even more true.

How do you figure it'd be more true?

Because Nino Kuni is newer and the amount of dumb claims are not as high. It's a volume thing, not indicative of the quality of either game.

To add, I think that the quality of certain games become exagerrated based on the environment of the console. It happened with Tales of Symphonia on Gamecube, Jade Empire on Xbox, Blue Dragon on the 360, and Demon's Souls on PS3 (to an extent).

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

It is the best JRPG on a Sony system since the games you mentioned.

Nope. Xenoblade is.

The best JRPG's I've played this gen.

Ni No Kuni, Valkyria Chronicles, and Persona 4: Golden

Everything is just ash.

And for the last two decades. FFVII

Tales and blue dragon i can see, but jade empire was freaking fantastic.  Hands down one the best rpgs of all time.  If anything, jade empire one the most underrated games...

no it is not. It looks good but it lacks in certain areas. Persona 4 and Pokemon do a much better job all around than Ni No Kuni
