Forums - Nintendo - Wii U GPU new info and more speculation

Funny how Retro and Nintendo are treated like 2 different Co. instead of 1.

Anyway yes, I agree that some of the extra "things" that are in the chip may help to increase the performance, but let's not fool ourselves, the WiiU will be weaker than the other 2. Maybe instead of being 3x slower it will "only" be 2.5x slower but the difference will be there and will be noticeable.

Please excuse my bad English.

There is no magical or miracle... the GPU is weak... just accept that.

Exactly...

It seems that fanboys have a hard time excepting anything negative about their consoles. Hell, Sony fans are still making excuses 7 years later as to why the Wii "WON" this gen and why their exclusives cannot come close in sales to that of Nintendo or M$. As you can see, we are all a bit guilty when it comes to irrational thought sometimes!

" Rebellion Against Tyrants Is Obedience To God"

Nintendo should just give us the full freaking specs and what they're capable of! We are paying $350 for the thing we should know what's in it! This just seems ridiculous to me. I get that they aren't about specs and don't want that to be the focus but I should know as a consumer what this big investment can do and how far it can be pushed. It is ridiculous to ask me to buy a mystery box that all I know is the look, controller, and 2gb of RAM.

The GPU is weak, Nintendo alienated themselves from the third parties once again and in the end fans of Nintendo should just accept it.

What that will change for the consumers? Weak or not the games will run and the owers play and have fun.

I think specs doesn't matter that much for them.

The gpu is not weak , and games like xenoblade 2 will show that. And in time others will show that as well, it seems there are quite a few ppl who can't seem to understand this that its funny. Yes the wii u gpu will be weaker than the playstation 4 and next Xbox but anyone would have guessed that. We just need to enjoy the games for the systems and stop all this damn negative bs that is going on.

So the Wii U could have the glitz and glamor of next-gen without the raw power? Games as good looking, but not as detailed?

I get that it's not their focus but I would like to know what I'm buying.  It's a mystery box.  It could be capable of some awesome stuff or it could be a 360 with a tablet and a little more RAM.  Who knows?  My point is I'm spending $350 for your system why can't you just list online what its specs are.  I'm not asking to have a whole press conference about it or make it a focus, just let me know.  Talbets, phones, TVs, and other game consoles all do it.

I think there is...

Damn it how i hate that guy . ''Ancient alien theorists believe''.... Anyway it's not the graphical power of the Wii-U that i'm concerned about, it's the sales. It's doing like 40K a week while the Wii was doing over 200K in the same period. So if there's any magic in the box that Nintendo can pull out, maybe they should do that now.

Dont know enough about specs and gpus to really get in this debate. But as a consumer i could certainly see the difference between wii and xbox and ps3 games. I can certainly see that the wii u games look amazing and obviously much better than wii. I cant wait to see games on the next playstation and xbox, but from what i understand from pc guys who have already been useing equipment that is similar or better than what is supposed to be in the new machines - they say the differences are not going to be that extreme as it was last generation. For a common consumer if i have to look at the same game at the same time side by side just to be able to tell the difference then i think nintendo is gonna be just fine. I mean if this is the case the other guys could actually be in trouble once the techies have made there purchases because when it comes down to the common masses to boost sales if they cant see an obvious reason to spend more money they are gonna go with the cheapest and thats allways nintendo.
