The only reason sales are close is because PSASBR just came out in Japan this week. Next week PSASBR will drop below Brawl again and likely never get close to it weekly again. Especially considering PSASBR is still a new game, (11weeks old), so it will be dropping much faster than an evergreen title like Brawl in the coming months. With that said, a PSABR sony bundle could certainly help the game pass Brawl this year but it won't even come close on its own.

thats a good Q. Funny thing its selling really well, I wonder if its cuz wii is cheap? Its still not even $20 yet either! Anyway it might boost sales, people be like "i need to play this game to prepare for SSBU" lol!
