Indeed. You can't blame Nintendo for building thier European HQ in Germany in 1990 expecting them to know in advance the BS law Germany made once the interwebs got around.

And they still want 3rd party developers to take them seriously. Not gonna happen Nintendo, if you keep doing this.

Agreed. Nintendo are merely following the law; why people are laughing at this fact baffles me.
LMAO, wow just wow. It seems like Wii U cant win for losing right now, jking. But on a semi serious note, could this contribute to why people are not messing with the system in that region too much?
i know how U feel, its pathetic but not nintendos fault.
there was a notification nintendo posted on wiiU regarding this and as other users have already stated. due to nintendo having thier main base of operations for the EU based in germany they have no choice but to follow the law there, which means all adult content cannot be accessed untill after 11pm
nintendo will never relocate thier ops due to costing, and germany will not change thier laws due to gamers that cant download 18cert content.
in a nutshell were screwed............unless they can somehow i dunno move download servers and paymenting offshore somewhere
...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...
PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk
really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...
Nintendo is not obligated to abide by that law, because as far as I know it only concerns television. But whatever, it can't be coincedence that it's Nintendo again and not Sony, Microsoft, Apple or whatever other major entertainment company.
I bought Fist of the North Star from the eShop day 1 at 22:00. It took me about 12 hours to download the game. When I wanted to install it my console locked up so I had to reboot and of course, the data was corrupted, I had to erase it and redownload. But you have to access the games eShop page to redownload the game and of course it was like 15:00 so I couldn't access said page and had to wait 7 hours to restart my 12 hour download. That was pretty infuriating lol.
I don't know how this law works but if I already bought the game I really should be able to access the goddamn page. Or atleast an unrestricted download manager.
Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

hahaha that would be so stupid xD

It concerns buying games as well.

Yeah, it took me 10 hours to download Sonic Racing even though it took me only 30 minutes to download freakin Skyrim on Xbox 360. Nintendo's servers are stuck in 1993.
