A million times this.

I feel like Ubisoft wouldn't want to sell themselves off all too easily.
I hope they won't buy anyone.
Right now EA is turning bioware into the same piece of shit as they did with bulfrog, westwood etc and we can watch as this slowly happens to bioware and Activision is the ugly twin of EA.
Ubi Soft and take two are the only two big 3rd partypublishers who are not only sequelling and buying licences but trying something new.
Funny this is Vivendi wanted to sell Activison/Blizzard.

Thinking that more money to spend = better games is what got the gaming industry in the financial hole it's currently in. As for Activision, over the years they had some luck, some good management decision and have been around for a long long time. They have been making games before I was born, and I am 31 years old... |
Well it can be true, if the money is spent on talent and time, then it will work, see 343 and Halo 4

Yeah but that tends to work when we're talking about milking sequels...
You don't need bucketloads of money to come up with amazing games and just great gameplay ideas. Something like Guitar Hero 1 probably didn't cost 1/3 that Halo 4 did. Guitar Hero 3 on the other hand with all the licences and such... :)

It varies from game to game, an open world game require tons of resources just to literally craft the open world, but it does also need good design on top of that
