So AC3:L probably bagged 100k on the digital front? Pretty exciting for 3rd parties.
That PC number, 50% of revenue. That is out of their digital sales right?
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

| VGKing said: Pretty amazing digital download sales for Vita. 15-20% is really high and this will only get higher over time. The only limiting factor here is memory cards. Them prices need to come down. Maybe Sony should allow SD memory cards in the Vita Slim. |
The proprietary cards are set in stone I think. They will go down in price soon. It is all based on yields and demand.

yeah like many already thought, pc games are maybe already bigger digital as physical but on console, only "arcade" games sell very good digital and the full price titles are still way bigger as retail version.

Of course, there's still copies on shelves and whatever, but given Vita's installbase, state of the console etc. etc... it's not bad. Hope it means future Vita support from Ubisoft. |
i think those are with digital sales. and from this "You have to look at this strategy in the short term and long term. Regarding Vita, last FY, we did pretty well on Assassin's Creed, close to 600k units - pretty happy with figure. I wouldn't discount PSVita, right quality, it might work." i think that they are happy with vita and see potential. i hope they make another AC game for it this year

It's ambiguous, but I get the impression digital sales are included in that figure. Either way, the numbers exceeded my expectations.

Yeah, just thought about it again and 600k shipped would mean some heavy overtracking here, and the numbers for USA & Japan are pretty spot on (thanks to NPD & media.create), so it would mean some really heavy overtracking in Europe.
So maybe not, heh. Still, as you say, not anything to be ashamed about either!
That's a nice figure for AC:L. There is clearly a market for games on the Vita.
That 15-20% digital on Vita titles is also something to remember going forward. Lots of us have been saying digital distribution on handhelds is a factor that shouldn't be discounted while others point to the physical sales as some kind of absolute.
Digital Distribution is almost certainly higher on the PS3 than the 360, given Sony's push on that front and the fact that more PS3s have a HHD that can handle more content. I'm sure Microsoft will address that next gen, though.
... his comments about being satisfied with the Wii U market share has to be like rubbing salt in the wound. Clearly they are not.
