Ubisoft announced that a new Assassin's Creed game featuring a new hero and time period will be coming in fiscal year 2014, which could be anywhere from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014

Ubisoft president Yves Guillemot promised a major leap forward for the Assassin's Creedfranchise and indicated that the development would be happening under the auspices of a new development team.

Here's hoping it's set in Revolutionary France.

PS4 and Nextbox perhaps. They already had 5 games on ps360. They need to not release it this year though, thats for sure.

Ubisofts fiscal year is April 2013 - March 2014.  It will release this holiday on next gen consoles Im sure

As long as it is a quality title, I'm fine with it.  I just wish they would take a couple years in between a game for once. 

I wouldn't say that. The new engine for AC3 is pretty expandable and I bet a little held back on current gen.

Its possible with quality dev time they could generate a wider approach/better art for WiiU and rest of nextgen.

Argh I'm SICK of this franchise. AC2 was one of my too 10 games of all time, brotherhood was alright but kinda ruined the memory for me.. Revelations was so unneeded and the same I didn't bother after about 4 hours in. Then once again like a fool I brought 3 thinking OK this is going to be good.. 3 hours in and it's one of if not the most boring game I have ever played. Just give the series a rest. They are running it into the ground. I won't buy another.
