Can someone tell me what's with all the outrage? What parts of his article do you actually disagree with?

Man I'm starting to dislike you guys.

It wasn't the article itself. It was a typical "State of Nintendeo" piece. It was how IGN created hype about an "interesting Wii U announcement" in order to generate traffic, delivered bad news, blamed Nintendo fans for getting excited, and almost immediately uploaded this article to score more hits. That's like telling your wife you've got some exciting news when she gets home, telling her that you're sleeping with her sister, blaming her for thinking it's going to be a good thing, and then uploading a video of the entire thing onto YouTube in order to get a million hits and the associated revenue. It's being mean and taking advantage of your audience.

How do you know that's what happened?
Is he the guy that tweeted yesterday that there was going to be some big news and that we were to stay tuned?

To be honest rayman legends as a one player experience isn't very fun at all

... you know, guys, if you read what he actually wrote, it's not a DOOM article.

True, I have read word by word and it is not a doom article at all, he states what is happenning and actually is very optmistic, saying Nintendo will pull a 3DS again and win once more.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Yes, he's the same guy. THe only thing I inferred is how long it took him to write the article. He confirmed on Twitter that this was the announcement he was talking about, meaning that he knew about it well in advance, and still went out of his way to get Wii U fans excited. Oh, and I guess he might not have done this for the webpage hits. Maybe he just did this for the lulz. Either way, it was a dick move.

I´d say it´s more of a struggle to become relevant.

Hopefully the end of the year will make it a reality.

Yup :( And  the 'interesting' news was for the delay of Rayman Legends

I understand the outrage then, that is pretty duchey. But the article itself was (ugh I don't want to use that word interesting now) containing of information.

IGN two weeks ago: "Wii U's future looks bright. Nintendo Direct was AWESOME. Look out for Nintendo!"

IGN Today: "Wii U lost Rayman. It is doomed. Oh god."

lol, pretty much.

And is losing Rayman (as an exclusive) really that bad?  It wasn't going a ton of units, and in fact, it will probably do worse in September than it would now.  By then, it'll have people migrating to the next gen systems and have Wind Waker HD or Mario Universe/Kart to contend with.  Now would've been a great time to release it on Wii U and just port it to the other consoles.

The port makes sense, the delay doesn't.  And yes, I suspect they're delaying it so the PS360 version can be launched along side the Wii U one.
