It makes me sick to my stomach that this bastard makes more money than i do. Idiots like him are what's wrong with this world, and if the universe had any justice, he'd be out on the street.

insulting the guy because he wrote a doom article on video game system is kinda of extreme.

It wasn't the article itself, it was how he announced it. Big difference.

yea that was just stupid, but calling the guy a bastard and wishing for him to be on the street is extreme no matter what way you put it, especially when your a mod.

I agree. Probably for the first time since you joined, but I agree. And even though I don't want to start this debate yet again: A "normal" user would probably be banned by now for some of the stuff Mr. Khan has written today. I completely understand him though, when I had seen both twitter messages and the actual article about Rayman Legends being delayed I also was infuriated.

If somebody pulled a stunt like that here, don't you think they'd get a lot of flak about it?

Hell, he has been getting a lot of flak for it, but do you think, on the whole, it would be judged as acceptable user behavior?

Yeah, because VGChartz is exactly the place where people jump to conclusions and get pissed off at the least little thing. Tell me what he did wrong. He said it was interesting news regarding the Wii U. A Wii U exclusive has been delayed and on top of that, moved to competing consoles.

He never said it was positive. He never said it was negative. Its not his fault that so many people assumed it was something positive.

I dont know how you dare question if this would have been okay on VGC after what youve said in this thread. "Bastard". "Idiot". "Poisonous weed" that should be "liquidated". His existance "isnt worth a damn".

You know full well that a better tweet would've been "interesting PS3/360 news tomorrow".

Hes a Nintendo writer and the Nintendo version is getting delayed. It was a Nintendo exclusive. Its bigger news regarding Nintendo than it is regarding PlayStation or Xbox. It would have been better for him to say "bad news" or indeed what you said... But nothing he said was wrong.

I agree with you, but let's not pretend he did nothing wrong. He knows fans are starving for positive news, and his move was dickish. Other than that I agree that reactions are WAY overboard.

I just don't get why the Wii U version has to also be delayed. The Wii U's relevance will be decided by Nintendo first party games, like it's been for the last 3 generations.

I repeat, he knew perfectly well what he was doing and what he was choosing to imply, as indicated by his coy response.

I'll admit i got irrationally mad, but it should make us all mad that this guy pulled one over on gamers and he and ign are laughing all the way to the bank with no negative consequences whatsoever. People should not be rewarded for bad behavior, and it infuriates me that i can't personally punish IGN more than i already have (because i haven't gone to that site in at least 2 years). People need to learn that certain behavior is unacceptable.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

God I hate ign

Its another assumption to say that. You cant just assume these things. Reading the OP clearly shows he doesnt hate Nintendo. He doesnt have a hidden agenda. If anything, its likely the "interesting" news hit him just as hard as it hit people here.

Sure, his wording could have been better, but as Ive said, he did nothing wrong. He didnt tell anyone to get their hopes up.

But as an experienced journalist he should have exactly known how starved fans would react to his initial announcement of today's news (get excited)

-> He should either not have teased us at all or directly indicated it weren't exactly good news...

Wii U's relevancy will arrive when the 1st party titles do. OF course having a title like Rayman (exclusive or not) is a plus.

Let's just say there's no point in getting so angry, but as a journalist he was irresponsible to tweet like that. Assuming a majority of his readers are Nintendo fans (since that's the userbase they're largely catering to, that was careless of him).

An apology at least would have been good.
