im a nintendo fan... but im happy with the announcement.... more people to enjoy this beautiful game... |
And that is a sane, normal way to feel Im sure alot more people are excited about the announcement (which is a positive thing).
I think for the Nintendo/Wii U fan, having this feather plucked from their hat makes it harder for them to argue the Wii U strengths over the PS360/other next gen systems. In the land of the constant internet console (just brands in general) war, losing that kinda of ammo is tough, hence the tantrums.
Its odd, you would think for a forum/community, with the game being released on all consoles, everyone will get their inputs on what makes the game great and what they can improve on (since their will be more of a sample size) but of course the opposite is happening, people are digging their tenches in, boycotting companies who do not stay loyal (and bankrupting themselves in the process)

Its not the same thing at all, Bayonetta fans, have to plunk down 300+ to play a game in a series that they previously could play on a system they already own. WiiU fans dont have to do that, they just have to wait. YOu could argue that if you are a fan you would just buy the system and play the game, but lets not act like its the same thing. its a 300 dollar difference.

i think its the same thing.... if you read the twitter posts of "bayonneta fans"
its ridiculous... arent they suppose to be happy that there is even a bayonneta 2???

I'm buying the game still.
The issue is I was supposed to be doing that in less than three weeks time, not in bloody September.
But sure, let's pretend absolutely everybody is just pissed about it going multiplatform...

ok i forgot to post... some.. or most...
yeah it was kinda BS to delay the launch... probably to save money for marketing... but i cant believe SOME people boycotting the game
lol @people who want to boycott it for wii u now, that will only decrease wii u game sales and show developers that it's not worth to develop for wii u if sales are so low on that system. the next next rayman will be only for ps4 and nextbox but not wii u then because wii u sales were so bad. and then the "we get no third party games" complain will start once more.
Well this is neato. Aside from pissing some nintendo fans off. The meltdowns for a game that sold 0.42 million on wii is a bit amusing. I understand why certain people might be mad if they really loved origins, and were superhyped about it coming out in 19 days.
I don't understand why they announced it as a wii-u exclusive in the first place, when the wii sold less than both the ps360.
Though, I think from a marketing decision it might make makes sense. Also, causing this controversy gets them a lot more attention too.A simultaneous release on all platforms might do better than a wii-u first release. Then all the hype dies, and then it's released on 2 other consoles.
I can understand the anger at the delay, but reading about this story on gaf (which already has +1200 posts and going up fast) and other sites, I can say I never expected a meltdown over a Rayman game.
