I have a hard time believing that MS would do it without Sony doing it too, it's too risky. So what if they had both agreed to do this and the next XB and PS blocked 2nd hand and had always online?

Will you still buy one of them (or both)?

Will you get a WiiU instead?

Will you game on PC?

Will you stop playing altogether?

Personally, I'd be royally pissed off, but I'm not sure if it would stop me from buying one eventually. It would surely delay my purchase until I'm sure it's well worth going through that though.

It'll be a nuisance of course but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. My PS3 is always connected to the internet but the fact that it'd be online to make sure that there are no used/2nd hand games would really hurt me. That means any of my friends can't bring their games to my house and vice versa.

Blocking 2nd hand games doesn't hurt me too much. I've probably bought 2 or 3 used games total this gen, all of which were DS games that were not available new. It would be a pain because I bring games to friends' houses pretty often, but not a deal breaker.

Always on could be a dealbreaker though. My internet, though fast, drops fairly often, and if that affects even single player games it would be awful.

Personally if both consoles had those features, I would just continue sticking to PC gaming. Maybe pick up a wii u in a few years to buy all the must have games when it's cheap. It would take some really really good exclusives to get me to buy a ps4 or nextbox with always on drm. And no the sequels to the current exclusives the ps3 and 360 have will be nowhere near enough. 

WiiU will be the console of choice for all my gaming.

What's so bad about always online?

nintendo will win this gen even without 3rd party support, but next gen all 3 (if ms and sony survive with that) will have always online and no 2nd hand copies :(

If they do, I'm going Wii U only for gen 8.

There really nothing wrong with it but in some situation when your internet get disrupted you can't continue playing your game is stupid.

It would be horrible! I hope it won't be a reality, for both consoles

And Internet is money, so as long as I'm playing I'll be wasting it.
