Huh really poor console sales or you know maybe it's because of their poor and crapy game releases

And it will only get harder for them in the next gen. Sony should consider raising its stake in SE to 51% in a few years.

Good idea. Tell them to sell their remaining buildings for it. They can work under tents.

If you're implying Sony has no more buildings left, you are wrong. When Sony acquires SE, they should lay off 50% of the employees and fire management, put some Sony people in charge, trim the fat and make SE a healthy company with focus.

Let's not release Type-0 or Bravely Default Square. Those will not generate revenue.

No, im implying Sony doesnt have money and has huge debt with increasing interest to pay and ever more difficult acess to credit due to their rating.

I like how your solution is fire people and "trim the fat" thats such a lol political term. What you're sugesting here is Sony buy the squeenix IP's, because your solution would just destroy square as we know it.

Maybe that would change if they would give the fans what they want.

I knew that the movement to mobile gaming was hurting SE, but I didnt think that the trouble would come this early for them. They will have to adapt to mobile and just start making smaller games or whatever...... or be bought by Microsoft.

This is the most infuriating company in the entire industry. They are sitting on some of the most lucrative ips, some great games already released in the east that they simply refuse to release here, their fan interaction is non existent and they continue to degrade their once prestigious reputation as the years go on. They need to dissolve and form a new development studio focused on bringing top quality jrpgs focused on substance as there are clearly several incredibly talented individuals whose creativity and visions are stifled by some of the poorest management I have ever seen. Give the goddamn fans what we want instead of what you think we want.

That's a loss of ~ 55 million dollars. Not good. I know sleeping dogs sold less than they expected, which probably means it sold a lot less than they expected.

If hitman is tracking correctly here, it's the 2nd highest selling hitman and is still selling, so I doubt that's the problem unless they were being unrealistic.

FFXIII-2 sold ~3million which is about 75% of X-2 (overtracked here). But still with price drop, that's not that much in sales, and they wouldn't have.

Maybe all the things selling at "acceptable" levels sold less than they expected to across the board.

What can I say, release Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest. On PC, that's my dream, heh.

Baby, just release Dragon Quest XI on 3DS and watch your income go through the roof :)

That's what you get from being a bad listener !
