Is it being released for Playstation this time?

Adam Badowski, head of the studio, explained why CD Projekt RED will be ending the franchise with The Witcher 3: “People may ask if this is really going to be the last Witcher game. Yes, it is. Why? Because we believe that we should end the series on a high note. Technology has progressed to where we can finally tell the story the way we want, with the visuals we want, in the world we imagined. This will be the ultimate fantasy RPG experience, and while we’re hardly out of stories to tell, we believe it’s time for us to look to new worlds and new horizons to keep pushing the boundaries of what we can create.”

Sounds like they are planning the next game to be a MMO :P They already make a huge open world... Though I hope this doesn't end up true and we get more normal Witcher games. I've loved Geralt since I was a kid in primary school and wan't to continue this journey :)
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

the link is incase the video doesn't show

One thing was made very clear when we visited CD Projekt in Poland: the studio cares about their fans. When designing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz and lead quest designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz tried to incorporate as much feedback from The Witcher 2 as possible.
Watch the video interview below to hear the developers talk about the lessons from their past work, the goals for The Witcher 3, and why the ending of the trilogy might surprise you.
Updated title at the request of MARCUSDJACKSON.
I have no intent of updating the thread with actual info. Marcus seems to want to handle that.

Does anybody think they developed The Witcher 2 with the current gen consoles in mind (360, and possibly PS3)?
Some of the design decisions were odd and didnt really seem to fit the game...stages, closed off areas etc. Yet it didnt need to be this way. There wasnt really any need to load between different areas, or close off entire sections once you had moved past that point.
I think from the information we have, we can say that the release of Orbis, and Durango will allow developers to create more open experiences. I think thats the reason why The Witcher 3 will be the way it is.
Its a shame that the WiiU will probably get left out in this. I really didnt think that would be the case...but it seems sony and ms have created a big enough gap spec wise to alienate Ninty.
I seriously hope we get a trailer or something :(
Also, does anybody know if this will release before Cyberpunk 2077?

Yes they did. After the bad experience with trying to port Witcher 1 they wanted to make sure that Witcher 2 will be ported and work well on consoles. Unfortunately PS3 didn't get the port thanks to the Cell being too difficult to write it on.
